My girls are the youngest in their PreK class....but are some of the smallest.

How big were your 5 yr old?

    My girls are about:

    DD1 40.5 inches 33.5 lbs shoe size 10.5 (actually a 10, but we bought 10.5 in sneakers)

    DD2 42.5 inches 39 lbs shoe size 11.5

Oddly enough DD1 was born bigger and has been getting out grown by her sister a lb or two every year since they were one! She also has very small narrow feet!

I think their 5-yr check up stats are in my siggy.

ETA: Sofia wears a 12.5 shoe and Ryan a 13 or 1 depending on brand.

At their 5 year check up:

    Meghan: 39 inches 30.14 lbs (I think she's still wearing a size 8 or 9 in shoes)
Nolan: 42 inches 36.12 lb wearing size 10-11 shoes

Mine are just a couple weeks older than your girls. At their 5 yr. check up, Abby was 36.5 lbs. and 41 3/4 inches. She wears a size 10.5 shoe and is just getting into 5 pants, although I have to roll some of them. She wears a 5/6 shirt. Gabe was 39 lbs. and 42 1/4 inches. He was a size 11.5/12 shoe and size 5 pants, 5/6 shirts.

Yours are bigger than mine! Mine will be 5 in a month -- I'm not sure exactly what their stats are, but we go to the doctor often enough that I have a general idea.

Amy: About 34 lbs, 36 inches, size 9 shoe
Sarah: About 32 lbs, 34 inches, size 8 shoe

They seem roughly the same size as most of the kids in their class, but they're among the older kids -- some of them just turned 4 in the late spring. They wear size 4T, mostly, though we do size 5 shirts and dresses, and Sarah is still in 3T pants.

Amy was born smaller, though not by much. Sarah was bigger for most of the first year and they were about even as toddlers, but Amy has shot up in the past year or so. Poor Sarah is starting to resign herself to being shorter than Amy forever.

    At five years:

    Matt 46lbs, ~45 inches, ~12.5 shoe. 6/7 clothes.
    Will 48.6lbs, ~45 inches, ~13 shoe, 6/7 clothes

They've always been on the large size.

    Wow!

What a difference between all the 5 yr olds. ( there is a 20lbs spread in there!)

Our Pedi gives us grief on what a peanut Em is.

She has flattened her curve recently and fell some percentiles (she used to be 75% for height and is now hovering around 20ish), but she has always been skinny.

They are some of the smallest in their class of 4/5 yr olds. BUT I am only 5'3" and a very light frame. DH is 6"4' adn a medium build. It will be interesting to see how the end up!

They both wear a 4 or 5 depending on brand.

Both of my boys measured 42" and were 35.5 and 36 pounds (Trevor is currently the heavier of the two but they trade off -- it was Trent's turn last time). They wear a size 11 shoe and 4T pants (boys XS shirt which is a 4/5).

mine aren't quite 5 yet but they are peanuts compared to some of your guys (and I don't expect anything major over the next 6 months)!!!

Ian - 42 in 35 lbs size 10.5-11 shoe and size 4/5 or 4T depending on the clothing brand in pants and 5 in shirts

Abby 40 in 33 lbs size 9 shoe and size 4 pants and tops and some 3T's depending on the brand!

Mine are close to the smallest in class... I think there are 2 kids smaller than them.

At their 5 yr check up

    Mitch 33lbs 38 inches size 8.5/9 shoe
    Kenna 34lbs 37 inches size 8/8.5 shoe

They have grown in the past 6 mos though...bc now at 5.5 mitch has grown about an inch and gained 2lbs!
Kenna hasn't grew an inch but hasn't put on any weight. But I am just so glad to see that they have grown!!

I cannot believe some of the 5 yr olds have bigger feet than my 10 yr old!!! WOW!

Sabrina's even smaller. The girlies will be 5 in about 6 weeks. There's a huge difference between my two.

Sydney: about 41" (it's been a little bit since I measured them), 44 lbs, size 11 shoe
Sabrina: about 37", 30 lbs (finally, after months on pediasure, her height-weight ratio is on the charts, though nothing else is), and size 7 shoe!

Sydney's in 4T pants and 5T shirts. Sabrina wears 3T pants for length, but can fit into 18 month shorts. She now finally needs 4T shirts for length, because I don't like belly's showing when they raise their hands. But most people would probably still put her in 3T.

My baby is not quite 17 months, and weighs about a pound less than Sabrina and has shoes just 1 size smaller. She can actually put his shoes on.

My boys were five in May and they are pretty small. They are both about 30-32 pounds. Not sure on height.. 42-43" maybe? Something like that. They are skinny minnies.

At 5 mine were 44" and Jesse was about 38 lbs and Jayden about 34 Lbs. Their shoe size was an 11.
Not much has changed since then. They wear an 11 1/2 shoe and are each about 5 lbs heavier than last year. Both are pretty much the smallest in their class.

Peyton goes for her 5 year check up tomorrow. She likes to weigh herself at home, so this is about what she is:

39 lbs and 42". She wears a size 10-11 shoe and is in a 6 slim pants and an XS shirt.

For a comparison, my 2 1/2 year old is 37 lbs and 39". Kids can be ALL over the board!

Funny, Liam who is 23 months younger than the twins weights the same as Nolan (now around 38 lbs) and more than Meggie.

Meggie's classmates have given her a nickname..."Pipsqueak". Luckily, she loves it. :)

My duo will be 7 at end of January and have always been on the smaller side. I would say only in the last 6-12 months has growth taken off. At their 5 year appt they were 41/42 inches and 35/36 lbs. To give perspective, now about 20 months later, they are 47 inches and 41 lbs (DS) and 48 inches and 43 lbs. (DD) The've grown at least 6 inches each and gained about the same in weight. Foot size for both is size 13. My girl is the slightly taller/heavier one. They were among the shorter in their class and are now average I would say although DS is slighter compared to some of his friends. DS wears a 5 slim in pants and 6 in tops and DD wears a 5/6 in pants and 6/6x in tops.

I thought the same. My 2 yr and 9 mo olds are 36 inches. I'm starting to worry about them reading this! But DH and I are tall.

I know I don't belong here but every now and then I take a peek at this forum but thought this post was interesting. My twins just turned 4 and had their wellness check-up. I think my twins are going to be the biggest/tallest when they turn '5' next Fall.

Rianna, 41 lbs and 41 inches, shoes size 11, wears XS (4/5) and sometimes size 5 dress/skirt *She is stocky upper torso w/thick arms
Justin, 40 lbs and 42 inches, shoe sizes 11.5 almost 12, wears slim XS (4/5) *He is skinny and tall

Do they slow down by now?

My boys gained ~3" and a little under 3 pounds between 4 and 5. That's typical, they stuck to their growth curves.

We just had our 6 year check up last week.

Catherine is 49 inches tall and weighs 51.5 lbs. I think she was in the 80% for weight and the 95% for height.
Andrew is 46 inches and 45 lbs. I think he was in the 75% for both height and weight.

Catherine grew 3 inches and gained 5.5 lbs since last year and Andrew grew 2 inches and gained 4 lbs.

Catherine wears a 7 in clothes and a 12.5 in shoes. Andrew is in a 6 in clothes and a 12 in shoes.
