at which station can you get off?

I just listened to this really great speaker at our mom's group. As she was talking to us about various strategies of feeding our families, she tell us that we needed to decide if it was a station we could get off at. Home-cooked, organic meals from scratch? Maybe not the station I can get off at. With mommy guilt running rampant, I loved the idea of just trying to decide which station I could get off at (ie - what works best for my family). It's a simple way to dismiss mommy guilt while not being judgmental of stations other people might decide to get off at. :)

I get off at the station that allows you to serve cereal for supper a couple times a month. :)

That is a very nice station and I myself stop there frequently :)

 Me too! And when I'm feeling a little more put together, we get off at the scrambled eggs station.

I let them eat sugary things, and I was pretty strict about that from the ages of 12-14 months. I was scared they would develop a sweet tooth and get bad teeth or refuse to eat anything healthy. LOL!

I love the station that serves my kids tea...with sugar :tomato:

But I also get off at the crockpot meals station often. And I'm really trying to get off more often at the I clean up my kitchen before I go to bed station...but that's a work in progress.

When DH does the evenings, he gets off at the "give them dinner in the bathtub" station. :p I'm sure we'll get pistol-whipped by the folks at the "all family members must eat dinner at the same time sitting at the table" station, but it actually works. Who knew, something about sitting naked in warm water makes them want to eat their vegetables.

Whoa, that's awesome! I have to ask, are your kids veggie too? I'm sorely thinking of going back veggie, so I'm thinking of what they would eat vs. what they wouldn't eat.

So that's how you get them to eat their veggies!

I get off at the "sit the kids in front of the TV w/ cartoons on while they eat their breakfast" station ~ so I can get myself ready and we can all get out the door in one piece and on time in the morning.

I get off at the station that I will feed my family what they want to eat (within reason) and I won't feel guilty about the fact that some days we do have cereal for dinner (I could eat breakfast for every meal and never get tired of it! Unfortunately, DH and the kids, while they like breakfast also like variety).
I also get off at the station of where my DH and I decide most of the dinners and he cooks. DH is a fabulous cook, I think his life's calling was to be a chef (he doesn't agree).

What? Was I suppose to get off at the same station as the kids??

I do like that idea of the "station." Ours is the one where I cook lots of healthy meals with veggies and organic meats, but then don't require the kids to actually eat anything but yogurt and pasta. :pardon:
