I swear, I don't know if this babe will ever have a first name - I just can't fall in love with anything!

    Here's the deal:

Baby A is Jonah Christopher (as has always been the plan if we had a boy).

Baby B's middle nameS will be Michael Leo

(A's middle name is after my husband, B's middle names are after the grandfathers - we're set on using these 3 as middle names).

The boys will take my husband's last name, which is Mudd (another roadblock - I like the name Grayson, but I can't name my child "Gray Mudd" LoL).

So with 7 weeks left (at the most!), I'm feeling the pressure of finding our second first name! Help!

We both LOVE the name Jacob, but I think I'm trying to talk myself out of it because:
    1. I don't know that I want two J names.
    2. I can't decide if I like "Jacob and Jonah" or "Jake and Jonah" together.
    3. I wonder if we need a "softer" name to match Jonah. Is Jacob too hard sounding?

I thought Ethan would go better with Jonah, but I don't love Ethan.

I also really like Lucas, but DH and I each have a cousin with sons named Luke (and, if we went with Lucas, his initials would be LMLM - too much?).

We're not dead-set on using another biblical name, but we would like to stick with something pretty classic.

Other names in the immediate family that have already been used:
    Caleb
    Christian
    Gabriel
    Noah
    Eli
    Isaac
    Elliott

So after all of this........ anyone with any thoughts or suggestions?!

I LOVE Caleb!! My husband did not like it...otherwise I would have used it.

Caleb Michael Leo is very nice.

FYI- We did not know what we were having.. and I was convinced we were having girls...we only had 1 male first name (Leo). During labor we came up with the rest (thankfully, because we had boys!):
    A Leo Summit
    B Cole Ryder

So 7 weeks is plenty of time to come up with something. Good luck!!

I like Caleb, too, but unfortunately that's on the list of names we can't use (DH's sister's son).

I know we should have plenty of time... but then again, who knows when these babies will make their appearance!

What about Quinn? I really wanted Quinn for my baby A, but his father wouldnt agree to it, so he got Nathaniel.

    Quinn Michael Leo

    William Michael Leo

    Xavier Michael Leo

Can't think of any others. Boys names are hard. I have 3 boys and had such a hard time with each of their names.

I like Jacob and Jonah together. My cousin's twins (who are turning 30 this year!) are named Jared and Jonah. They are both Js but one is "Ja" and one is "Jo" so I don't think they are too matchy. I also like how Jacob Michael Leo sounds.

As for Grayson, nothing says you have to shorten the name to Gray. I have a cousin whose name is Michael, he has never been called Mike. I like the sound of Grayson Michael Leo, but I do understand the Mudd thing. Do other names in a similar style as Grayson appeal to you? Jackson? Bryceson?

My nephew's name is Jacob Jonah, I like it. :) I would go with Jacob, but I also love the name Henry. Probably because it's what we'll use if one is a boy because my father was from Israel and he kept his Hebrew name of Hanan when he became a citizen. He passed so we'll name after him but he wouldn't want us to use the Hebrew version only, so we chose Henry.

I think Jacob is fine and is not too hard. Another option is Joshua if you want a softer name.

I also like Griffin as suggested by PP.
