Hi there girls! I'm a Stay at home, hockey, and homeschooling mom here in the burbs of DC. I'm 36, did I really just write that?! I have 4 boys. Ben's 10, David's 8, and the Twins are 3. We spend most of the year traveling the east coast for the older boys travel hockey teams, AA in fall and AAA in spring. The twins travel like pros and hate being home. They are just now starting to skate themselves and LOVE it. My motto is keep boys busy and out of trouble. I love having them with me and can't wait for the 3 yr old stage of whining to be over. I'm a former gymnastics coach and miss it but have no girls to continue with it. I love sports so 4 boys suits me. The twins are miracles after multiple miscarriages. We really considered them gifts of God. It's so fun watching them grow, tiring but fun.

I live in Nashville, TN and am 33 years old. I met my husband in college when I was 18 and we have been together ever since, although only married for nine years. We have boy/girl twins conceived through IVF (ectopic led to ruptured fallopian tube combined with PCOS) and a four-legged daughter named Marley. I work full-time in fundraising at a non-profit childcare center and my kids go with me to work. My husband is a realtor which means that no insurance or steady paycheck comes with his job so staying at home is not an option for me. I do think, though, that the arrangement works out well - the kids LOVE school, and I am a happier mom when I work. I played tennis in college and am still a fanatic and unfortunately for my budget read about a book a day (anything and everything). I am really enjoying parts of the kids being two, but am learning that they definitely inherited stubborness and tempers from me and dh so there are some challenging times. I really cringe when EVERYONE tells me that 3 is much worse. These are probably our only kids since we have decided not to pursue any more fertility treatments so I am just trying to cherish every moment!

Hi all - I'm late to the game here (as usual). I live in Santa Fe, NM with my husband and 3.5 year old twins Piper and Cricket. We live just outside the city on five acres of pinon forest where we have 1 cat, 3 fish, and 4 chickens. I've always been a city girl, so country life is an interesting change. I've been married for almost 11 years. We didn't think we wanted kids until about five years ago. I was one of the lucky ones who conceived easily; we found out at 20 weeks that we were having twin girls. I miss the freedoms of life without kids (aaahhh... sleeping in, I miss you). My husband is a lawyer and I'm a program manager for the federal government. Since we both work full time our girls to to a local preschool and seem to love it. Oh, I'm 36 years old.

When I'm not wrangling three year olds or dealing with stubborn coworkers, I like to cook, read, wander around outside, and host dinner parties. I'm definitely an extrovert and love meeting new people and travelling to new places. I wish I was more crafty - I'm going to try to learn how to knit this winter.

while I didn't meet Tony playing D&D he's a huge gaming nut and has gotten me into it (although now we mostly stick to little known board games like Settlers of Catan and Puerto Rico)...

Anyway - I'm Amy - I'm a 36 year old licensed insurance agent - so if you see any threads with insurance questions, I usually have to stick my nose in! I worked in a call center for an online auto and home insurance company (no not the one with creepy CGI mascots or lizards LOL)...I was there for 10 years, and recently went on medical leave in April due to severe asthma and severe sleep apnea - I'm hoping to actually get laid off - I've been home for 6 months and I really really don't want to go back but my savings account is reaching a critical point...

anyway my husband is Tony (hence the screen name) - he is 41 and we just celebrated 8 years of marriage on 9/28...Feb/March are busy months as are Sept/Oct for us...I love to read, cook, and play Frontierville on Facebook...I've actually applied to nursing school at Penn State - I already have my bachelors degree from there so I need 3 classes and clinicals to be an RN...won't find out until March if I get accepted or not.

the twins are my first and only kids - they are Ian and Abby...Ian is a carbon copy of Tony and Abby is a carbon copy of me...they are the lights of my life and are completely and totally crazy! Abby has a handle on sarcasm that most adults don't and Ian is so incredibly smart and a complete smarta$$ as well!

we live in Old Forge PA (its in NE Pennsylvania - right outside of Scranton where the TV show "The Office" is based...I love Italian and Mexican food the best, love to cook but hate to clean up...and I'm definitely NOT Martha Stewart when it comes to cleaning and decorating!

Hi, my name is Kathy and I am 35 years old. My husband Jeff and I have been married for almost eight years and we have 3 1/2 year old boy/girl twins, Alissa and Owen (conceived via IFV after a long struggle with infertility). We live in a northeast suburb of Detroit, MI. I have a degree in Civil Engineering and work as a Project Manager for a General Contracting Company. I have been back to work for just over a year, after being laid off for 6 months from my previous employeer (you have to love the state of the economy in Metro Detroit right now). While I was looking for work, I was able to stay home with the kids and we had a great time. I enjoyed my time home with them, but am happy for the opportunity I have now with this new company. My husband works as an engineer for GM.

I love to read and scrapbook, althought there isn't a lot of time for those things anymore. I hate cleaning the house and if the finances every allow it, I would love to have a housekeeper.

Thank you for starting this topic. I'm one of those newbies.

I'm a SAHM to just turned 2years old b/b fraternal twins. I'm 36 & had my share of unexplained infertility too. I just had my wedding anniversary :give_rose: Now 9 years. I love the FlyLady program, but just keep on trying to stay with it. I also pumped breastmilk for 15 months, so would love to help anyone newer in Mommyhood who also decides to be a "Pumper".

I miss my old life.(still love my kids & wouldn't trade them for anything) I love feeling self-reliant. I don't like family imposing on me or anyone I love. I don't say things the right way but have good intentions. I wish I could help others & make them feel included. Not alone in this TwinMomma role we need to play.
I used to really love my career, but financially would take a loss doing so.

Things I enjoy... being online with fellow twinsters, reading cooking magazines, dreaming of cooking exotic foods again, and walking/hiking. I have dayhiked in at least 4 different states part of the Appalachian Trail in my pre-momma days. I'm in 2 local chapters of NOMOTC.

Current challenges... my kids just started hitting and biting me and my dh. We are just starting Magic 1-2-3 to stop those behaviors. We also still have some food throwing, but that is getting better. One guy started climbing out of his crib, but it has not continued.

My two just started this too! They went through a biting stage really early on and I thought it was done, but now they have started biting us, and hitting each other (and themselves, oddly). They are in a new daycare so I think that might have something to do with it - but it really came out of the blue! For us, biting or hitting is an immediate "That's 3 - time out" and it seems to be curbing it somewhat!

Hi guys! I love this idea! It's about time we introduced ourselves :)

I'm Meredith. I turned 32 on September 11. I think I've been a member here since my boys were a few months old and they turned 3 on September 26.

I have identical twin boys, Nicolas and Gabriele. I am married to Alessandro, who is from Italy- STRAIGHT- he has been here for 13 yrs now. In fact, we just opened up our own pizzeria in the end of August and it's going quite well. It's very fun to have our own place and OF COURSE him being from Sicily, he knows the pizza business! He's been doing it all of his life and he throws the pizza up in the air- you know the drill. The whole "stereotype" deal! Ha.

Anyway, we are a bilingual family and really enjoy the whole Italian lifestyle while living in America.

Before I had the boys, I was a preK teacher. When I found out it was twins, I knew I would NEVER be going back!! Too many loud voices in a day! HA!

I was raised by a single father and am the oldest of 3. I have a strong mind and a hard head. I have my degrees in psychology and human resources. I have NO PROBLEM speaking my mind and am ALWAYS honest. I don't feel that I need to stay in the box and don't follow the pack. I take pride in being different.

I love being home with my kids (most of the time) but it is hard when my husband works at the pizzeria 90 plus hours a week! And i have ZERO help!

Anyway, GREAT idea and I'm happy to know you all better! CHEERS! And I hope we can get to know each other better over the years to come!
