I am finding my guys are growing out of things lengthwise before they hit the top of the weight range. Anyone else in the same boat?

yep, my girls are tall, but skinny. the 18 months stuff falls off their butts, but the 12 months is too short. it's a struggle and I find I'm buying more dresses than anything else. not sure what we will do once it starts getting cooler outside. :headbang:

We're in the same boat. Their 12 month pants are still falling off, but look like capris. The 18 month pants are a little short, but are so huge they can't keep them up. I think 2T would be okay rolled up once, but I could fit both boys into 1 pair of those. :gah:

Shirts are a little easier. I buy 2T right now, and have since summer. They're way too wide, but are long enough in the torso which is the critical thing. There's nothing attractive about bare toddler midriff. ;)

I still have that problem with my girls. Today one of my girls is in a 5 (or maybe 6) dress with 3t bike shorts under it. The shorts fit her great just don't come to right above her knee.

I started buying stretch waist 12mo pants and running my own elastic around them. Only takes a few minutes and now they fit the boys waists just fine.

We're in the same boat here... I'm doing some elastic of my own to help pants stay up.

I think overalls are going to be on my kids 24/7 this year, although their problem is short and chunky.

I buy by height and not weight, my two are growing out of clothes faster via height then weight.

Mine have had this problem since they were born. DD is 25th % for wt and >97th % for height! DS is 50th % for ht and <3rd % for wt. At 15 months he can still wear 3-6 month shorts.

yep, height! look for adjustable waist bands - I didn't even know a couple of our shorts had that until we'd grown out of many of them... ugh! also ditch the onesies if you're still wearing them, shirts will last longer, and if you buy a size up for them they shirts may last even longer... good luck!
