Present suggestion for a 4yo girl?

Going to a birthday next week and I have NO idea. I'm not sure what they have either.... What do your 4yo girls play with?

Art Supplies (play do, coloring books, stickers)

Princesses/dress up
Simple board games

All the above suggestions and Polly Pockets, my 4 year old loves them. :good: Also Littlest pet shop is good too.

Can you call the Birthday Family and find out what she is interested in?

For instance, my DDs are not that into Barbie at all, or Littlest Pet Shop.


It may be easier to just ask what she is interested in.

If nothing else, go with art supplies or books! I always get a book if I am not sure what else works! They make some really really neat kids books (Fancy Nancy is a hit at 4, as are pop up, and sticker books)

 

Ditto, mine have never heard of My Little Pony, Barbie, or Littlest Pet Shop. I'm sure they would enjoy those things, but wouldn't really know that they were different from any other little toy.

They love art supplies, building toys (magnatiles, wedgits, marble runs, etc.), "baby"-care items, dress-up clothes (especially princesses), and books. Fancy Nancy is a particular favorite. They also love just about any books about school -- "Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for Kindergarten" and the like.

 

Somethings I forgot:
Glosticks (mine would be happy with nothing but these)
Coloring books
Artsy stuff

My girls are into all the above and they also love, love, love Silly Bandz and Zhu Zhu pets.
