thinking about letting them go naked for PT

My DD was showing signs of being ready before we moved, but I held off because it wasn't a good time. Now that things are settling down, I've got the potties available, but I'm not pushing - just letting them go if they tell me they need to. Surprisingly, DS (who wasn't even remotely interested before) has been staying dry all day and peeing on the potty every time. DD hasn't gone a single time since we got here (even though she had been at the old house). Neither have pooped on the potty - they tell methey have to, but then run away to do it in the diaper.

I think I'm going to try to jump start the process with a potty training weekend like the one I hear about in 3 day potty training - I don't have the book, but I've read about it and it sounds like a good way to start. So I think we'll ditch the diapers this coming weekend and see how things go. I've read a lot of posts where it seems like a lot of you have gone this route. Any tips? Did you actually cover your carpets and furniture? Or fence off an area? Or just invest in good cleaning products?

Hey I tried to message you, but it says you are not taking any new messages. Send me your email. I'll email you.

We did the 3 day potty training, and I personally can't say enough good things about it. LOVED it! We are fully potty trained over here-day, night, out and about-everything. It actually is really nice! I thought it would be torture to have to pee everywhere, but it's nice not having to change 1356 diapers/day!

    awesome! gooooooo fooooor iiiiiit!

we'd done a couple months of moderate potty training... stickers on a calendar chart etc. but 2 weeks ago I bit the bullet and bought that 3day book, and pretty much we're doing great, no huge accidents for pee... for day, naps or night for the main part. and my dd goes great on the potty for poop... nothing we did, just she wanted to do it. I am still struggling with my ds with the poop. I am actually debating on trying naked training for him while at home to see if he'd be more apt to try the potty instead of pooping on the floor... who knows!

we have a spray bottle of lysol that we use, and either paper towels or washcloths to clean up. we have wood floors so clean is really easy. I do have a thick blanket on the couch so in case there's an accident there I can just wash the blanket.

    good luck!

as for the cribs. I only have 1 extra set of sheets, and usually its been ok, both kids weren't waking wet to begin with so it'd give me some time to wash and change sheets. miraculously they usually only wet in the morning before the wake if they do... so I wasn't changing sheets 3x a night like I anticipated!

I wonder if there's a problem with the site - it says you're not accepting messages either! I'll try again later to see if it's working again. Thanks!
