How much are the babies expected to gain at this point (weekly, monthly etc..) I know at some point with my singltons they said 1/2 lb a week... is it the same with these two? Im just wondering when they will hit the 4lb mark... 4 weeks ago at the peri they were 3.3 each

I don't know if it is normal, but mine are gaining about 200g per week (close to 1 lb, I think)and I am 33w5d. I guess it will have to slow down soon or I am going to burst!

    I had an U/S at 32 weeks and Baby A was 3lb 15oz and Baby B was 4lb5oz
I'm sure it differs by each woman.
I have also gained about 60 lbs this pregnancy. Which I do not reccomend as I can definitely feel every extra pound and it is NOT comfortable. Then again, I did make it to 34 weeks so far!!!

I believe the average is still 1/2 lb per week for the last couple of months regardless of it being a singleton vs. twins. Keep in mind that ultrasounds can be off in either direction. I think I remember my peri saying it could be up to 20% off either way, so don't be too surprised if the growth between ultrasounds doesn't come in at exactly 1/2 lb.

I think it varies by each person because I have known people who delivered 5lb babies at 34 weeks. So I don't know that I would go by a "rule of thumb" just keep going to your u/s and eating well and those babies should be just fine!

I gained 60lbs too BUT a TON of it was due to pre-ecalmpsia, I had swollen up REALLY bad. I made it to 35 weeks and they were 4lbs 14oz and 4lbs 15oz.

So just keep taking care of yourself and think positive! :)

;) I knew I was calculating it wrong. 200g is about 1/2 lbs, not 1 lbs! So yep, they're putting 1/2 lbs per week. Still feel like I am going to explode though!
