Just had my ultrasound i am 29 weeks and 5 days. The girls are weighting in at 3 lbs 5 oz. each only 3 grams apart and my cervix is still closed and long  i really am happy because i can not believe how big they have gotten and the bigger they get the better off they will be! Now if they would stop flip flopping on me and quit switching. one week A is head down the next week B is but they never stay it is always a surprise who is head down at the next ultrasound!

We had our 29w5d US appointment today with the MFM.

Babes are looking good. Very exciting. They move A LOT, but Baby A remains vertex and Baby B breech/jackknifed. Both are measuring around 3 lbs. each.

They pointed out the 'practice breathing' movements of the diaphragm...looks like laughing and chuckling to me...made me laugh.

Everything else looks good. Oh, I just cannot wait to meet these babies.

Good luck and nice job to everyone! And jennybean...what big babes you have...way to go!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm new to posting, but have been reading and taking great wisdom and courage from so many of you over the last few months. At 28 weeks, we had a visit and ultrasound with our perinatologist on Monday the 30th. Our boys have a membraneous attachment, so we've been watching them carefully for growth and movement. I knew from personal experience that they are both great movers, but it was just such relief to see that both of them are growing well at 2lbs,15oz and 3lbs, 2oz respectively. So, it's been a good week. I'm about to down my orange glucose concoction for the blood glucose test. Before I do, I want raise my chilled plastic bottle in a toast to all of you current twin moms and moms-to-be... Here's to You, Cheers!

I'm 28w5d today and had OB appointment and U/S yesterday. Both babies are now breach and measuring 2 weeks ahead. Was told baby girl currently weighs 3lbs 2 oz and baby boy weighs 3lbs 7oz so definitely big for 28 1/2 weeks. Baby girl (also baby A) WAS head down and we had hoped for a vaginal birth but since she is now head up and the smaller of the 2 the OB told me a c-section is inevitable. Been pretty bummed about it but their health is most important!

OB appt went well - my OB only listens to find 1 HB and then quits, lol. I am disappointed in that, but he says if one is fine, other is too. Hmmm... still would love to hear both HBs at the appts. Maybe once I'm further along.
I got our first round of IPS results back and they were within normal limits and no problems. I went for the 2nd IPS BW the same day of my OB appt to double confirm it.
He gave me my req for my 18 week scan! CAN NOT WAIT to find out the genders!!!!!!! 2 more weeks!!!!!
All in all, everything is good. I've developed a varicose vein on my outer rt vaginal lip and it's soooo painful :( Sucks!!!!

Just found out on Friday it's 2 Girls!!! Excited but now trying to grasp the thought of all pink. When we told our almost 3 yr old he was having two sisters he dropped to his knees and said "I don't want to be the only brother" it was so sad and so cute at the same time. Any girl advice would be appreciated :)

Today is a day of lounging on my chaise lounge, watching soaps while eating chocolate bon-bons...and I just feel the need to throw in a few words. Thanks for indulging me with this quot-a-thon! :db:

:welcome: to Brownrice and babies!! Hope the blood glucose test went well.

Really?? I was under the impression that twin babes could move quite a bit, or unpredictably, until around 34 weeks?? I could be completely mistaken in this understanding. I'm just really hoping for a vaginal delivery as well and felt reassured with thoughts that the babes can move around so late in the pregnancy. Hmmm...

I second Hmmmm...this as well. Interesting. Very interesting. I think I would be tempted to pull the 'indulge the pregnant lady' card with this one!!

CONGRATulations on your 2 girls! We are having 2 girls as well. I wonder if rising estrogen levels are somehow linked to an increased desire for ruffles and ribbons...I am having SO much fun shopping for girls. I never would have imagined!

It really is too bad that we all cannot get together for lunch and chatting...it would be so much fun. Thanks for indulging me with the quotes and comments! I do not have any appointments this week but did recently celebrate my own birthday. I love getting older and now, while I do not feel it at all, I am officially of 'advanced maternal age'. Hope everyone is having a great week!!

@LizzBeech That OB just sounds plain lazy to me. We rotate drs at my OB......one dr felt my belly first and hit heartbeats immediately while another dr squirt my whole belly down with jelly and searched all over for the babies. I would almost prefer to only see the peri. Their office is so pleasant and professional and they don't rush in and rush out like the drs at the OB do so frequently.

@Expecting Twins Our babies have certainly moved in the last few weeks and women on here have even said their babies moved as late as 37 weeks. Don't give up on your vaginal birth just yet! I'm still crossing my fingers for a natural, vaginal birth too.

We had an appointment today with the peri. Alex is 4.11lbs and Ayden is 4.15lbs and both babies are head down! The NP asked me if we've discussed scheduling a c/s with my OB. I told her we want to wait and see what the babies are going to do (no induction, no planned anything). I explained we are hoping/planning for a natural birth. You should have seen her face. She just stared at us. Obviously, I'm not being completely naive. I'm open to the option if a problem arises and they feel it's medically necessary.
My cervix, last month, measured 5cm long and today measured 3.5cm. The NP said this has no baring on when I'll deliver, things change so fast. But because the babies are such a good size already, she guesses we'll deliver around 36/37 weeks.
I failed my 3 hour glucose test a few weeks ago and my levels in the afternoon and evening are still a little high. They put me on Glyburide twice a day to help lower my levels. So thankful it's just an oral medication for now and not insulin. OMG, the lancets 4 times a day are bad enough!

Good job, mommas! It sounds like we're all doing a fantastic job of growing our sweet little ones. Keep up the good work!
