Did you have a single stroller?

One of my twins hates his car seat and only like to be held. It's making errands and getting out of the house very difficult right now. I have a hot sling and I'm thinking of carrying him in the hot sling and pushing the other twin in the stroller. But it seems silly to push one twin in the double snap and go stroller, so I'm debating seeing if I could find a single snap and go stroller to use as well. I'm just curious if anyone did something similar.

Does he scream the whole time he is in the carseat? Could he be uncomfortable due to straps or laying on something?

I would carry him, but I would be inclined to still use the dbl snap-n-go, vs spending more $ on another stroller. :pardon: We did have single strollers, but we got those at nine months old when we went to Italy. I wasn't lugging the Graco DuoGlider on the plane! LOL!

No, not the whole time. He's happy when I first put him in- looking at the car seat toys, smiling, etc. It's once he can't see me anymore and realizes that he's strapped in that he starts to cry. Today, he started crying while we were driving, then stopped once I got them out of the car and into the stroller (I always put him closest to me so he can see me), but started again about 5 minutes later. I took him out and held him and he was fine, but it was hard to steer the stroller with only one hand. The same thing happened when we went to the grocery store- stopped crying once he saw me, but started again once we were in the store. I also think he hates being strapped down. He's a squirmy wiggle worm and loves to move around and kick his legs and can't really do that in the car seat.

If I did get a single stroller, it'd be a single snap and go from craigs list. I did some looking quickly today and saw a couple for $15-25 nearby.

Me. We actually bought a single Bugaboo and used it with an insert from infancy. Still use it today when toting only one around.

Id say get a cheap one yep. Sometimes i take one twin out with me and leave the other at home with dh so i use the single snap n go a lot. You can probably resale on cl for what you paid too. I also have a duoglider and a
    Triple stroller! Im covered!

I have a single stroller, the same brand as my double stroller (chicco) and it's a lifesaver. Sometimes when my son is freaking out during a colic episode, someone takes him out so his sister can sleep and we can all get some peace! I'd say go for it. maybe check e=bay for a used one?

Don't have much advice, but I have a single stroller that I keep in the car with a baby bjorn in the basket for the 2nd twin. That way if I'm in a hurry or going to a shop that I know has narrow aisles, or going into my son's classroom, I'm covered.
I prefer using my twin valco though - one of the best 'twin' things I've bought.

I do have single strollers (I had a singleton first) but I rarely use them. I find it so hard to "deal" with one while I'm wearing the other.

I'd pay $15 for a used snap and go and then resell it once you can't use the carseat anymore. When the babies are older you may want to get two single umbrella types as well.

I have two single umbrella strollers ($5 each from craigslist, they fold down to nothing) for those times you just take one baby. Or sometimes one in the stroller and one in a snuggly carrier. Also we have found in the city or crowded areas it is easier to navigate having my hubby and I separate the kids.

ditto that - I had my twin valco from my older singleton boys who were only 16mths apart, but also have a single stroller. I never use the twin for shopping - I always put one in my Babyhawk and one in the single stroller (one of my older kids pushes that) and I am free for the cart etc. If I'm going to the kids school, or any other activity I can push the single and carry one. Makes for a lot less bulk for quick trips - AND a much happier babe if you've got one who cries (my eldest was like that - always ended up pushing a stroller while I carried her - used the stroller for storage and shopping bags more than anything else!)
