My boys 6 year stats ...

Jesse is 44 1/2 inches and weighs 44 lbs Last year he was 42 " and 42 lbs .. lol He's in the 39th percentile for weight .. not too bad but still not great.

Jayden is 44 1/2 inches and weighs 38 lbs ! That puts him in the 7th percentile for weight.

They've always been pretty much the same height (is that unusual ?) but the weight has always been a few pounds off. Jayden is just soooo skinny !

I was hoping they would catch up with their peers soon .. but it doesn't look too promising right now !

Maybe in a few years they'll hit a growth spurt. :)

Michelle, mine are tiny too. A & G will be 5 next month. Gabe was weighed about 3 weeks ago and was up 37.6 lbs. I think he's about 42 inches tall. Abby's about the same height and weighs about 36.6 lbs (maybe a couple oz. more now).

My 7 year old only weighs 42 lbs, but is much taller (52") but I don't think of her as being petite. Are you and their father tall?

Well I'm only 5' tall .. but their dad is like 5'10 .. I guess I shouldn't hope for too much huh ??

We haven't had an appointment recently but T&T are right at 35 pounds and probably 41-42" (they'll be 5 next month). They've never been above the 50th for height or the 25th for weight and much of their lives their weight has been in the 5-10% area. They don't look underweight, they just have petite frames.

I still get asked how premature they were (they weren't!) and people will make comments without thinking about them being tiny. I had to bite my tongue when we took them to school and someone said something about them being awfully small for kindergarten. I wanted to say, "Boys, it's fine to point out to her that you're small and she's fat because people come in different sizes and shapes." My husband was much more polite and told the boys to tell her that they're plenty big for school.

Mine don't look underweight either ! Jaydens legs are kinda funny looking though because he hasn't grown into his knees .. lol But other than that they look ok. People always tell me "well its because they're twins and twins tend to run smaller than other kids" I just love all the "expert" comments.

Mine are small too (but I am a small person- short & skinny).

They will be 5 soon and

    DD1 is 41" and 34 lbs
    DD2 42" and 37.5 lbs.

They could still wear some 3T shorts & undies, but mostly wear 4T/ 4 s---a few 5 tops to cover thier tummies.

They have small feet too----size 10 and size 11.

They wear a size 4 in pants and a 5 in tops since I like the tops to be bigger .. we got new shoes yesterday and Jayden wears an 11 and Jesse an 11 1/2. I have to dig out last years school clothes and I have a hunch they won't be needing new ones. Yay for me !

One of mine is about 45" and 45lbs so not much heavier than yours. The other one on the other hand could squish your smaller one with a stare. He is about 47" and 55ish lbs. All muscle. As long as they are healthy, happy kids that eat a fairly well rounded diet, you don't need to be worried. Someone has to be smaller than average, or else there wouldn't be an average.

Oh yes, I've heard that too. I haven't gotten up the nerve yet but one of these times I'm going to respond, "Oh yes, well that's because people with twins only buy enough food for one child since they're pretty much the same kid anyway and then they split it."

I've seen DH's high school track shirt. It was TINY. He ended up being an average size but he was skinny as a rail until he reached his 30s. So yeah, I'll be pushing the sports where size matters least. They'll never be on the football team unless they specialize as kickers and I'm OK with that. I only hope they will be. Petite girls are "cute little things", petite boys are passed by when teams are chosen.

OMG your's sound huge compared to mine!!!

    Mine were 5 in April

Mitch is 33.5lbs and 40.5 inches. Poor kid is SOOO tiny when next to the other boys. Kenna outweighs him by a 1lb but is 1.5 inches shorter!
And for shoes, Mitch is a 9 and Kenna an 8.5 (My 10 yr old still wears 13.5 though, so I guess that runs in the family too!)

I am hoping for a HUGE growth spurt soon (he drinks like 3-4 pediasures a day so I am hoping that helps!)
