 no never seen it before, that's hilarious.... and I think I'll stick to a blanket.

Wow it sounds crazy when you put it like that!

Relationships are tricky and one can never say when is the best time to have them. I'm actually agreeing with the guys to some extend. My experience certainly wasn't the best but it's also not the norm but since Adrian kind of brought it up I'll relay some of it although I'm still not comfortable talking about this on the open boards. I have spoken about it in the Den before so you can have a look there and I'll send you a pm.

BUT just because I had a bad experience it doesn't mean you will or that one should avoid relationships when young. Just always make sure you stay your own person along with being a couple. It sounds as if you have someone nice so enjoy it! I think that's some of what Adrian and Richard is also trying to say is to be careful not to loose yourself. It's easier than one thinks

And now we all officially sound like old people

That is insane, I never thought of it like that

That is good to hear, I hate it when people do that. And am glad you won't do that :)

That is good to hear Kendra, I am glad to hear I am not the only one! ;)
My classes were mostly mixed, the guys where all very nice but definetley to young for my taste, great to hang out with during classes but nothing more.
I don't go out that much either, at least not in places where I could meet single guys (still waiting to meet prince charming in the library  ) so that answers the question why I don't date :p

Ridiculous aren't they. My dad has one as well, I prefer a blanket ;)

I agree with you on this Brenda.

It is all about finding balance I think. Balance between being yourself and being a couple together. I think a good balance in life is important, not just in relationships but in every aspect of life.

You add me to the hardly goes out anywhere list (other than university). When we go to the opera house we bring the average age down quite a bit :p

I hardly ever go to a library anymore, I normally just get what I need from the online databases the libraries have. I keep on meaning to go to the state library but never seem to end up going for some reason.

We're practically ancient :p But if we're ancient then you must be too because we are younger than you are :p

Okay, I'll be ancient but that means I'm wiser then you as well Richard :p

How was everyone's weekend? which is a long way back by now, but anyways. We had a great time in the bush, late night fires and great talks, so relaxing :) Only negative is I got the flu bad whilst there. Lckily the worst of it was yesterday and Tesday so Istill enjoyed my weekend although I didn't feel 100%. Don't know when last I've slept this much! It's so weird to start your first work day of the week on a Thursday :p

I'm a bit nervous for our trail running session this weekend though, I hope my body is up to it because I need the experience of that trail before the Otter race and we can't go another weekend

Almost forgot the best part! I'll try to upload photos some time, difficult at work, but we fed elephants apples this weekend :) it was great! The wild farm next to CP's parents is very big on nature reservation. Long story short, they rescued a few elephants and their handlers a couple of years back from Zimbabwe when the Zimbabwean parliament claimed their farms and wanted to kill the elephants for food. Now they live at the wild farm, heehee, it's so funny but the handlers take them for walks 3 times a day so that they don't get bored (they don't want to wander off on their own without the handlers), they did tricks for us as well (very cute!!!). It looked like a dog/human relationship. You can see Simba and Tiger (yip, that is the handlers names!) love their elephants greatly and vice versa. I have a photo of me giving Joe (one of the elephants) an apple, so cool and what an experience. Brenda would have loved it, elephants are her favourite animal

    That's a myth :p

I like two day weeks :p (although it was a pity you were sick ;))

I'll give you some advice then: It is faster to walk than crawl (normally anyway) :p

When are you going to post it then?

    TwinG Well-Known Member

LOL, okay I'll keep that in mind and rather walk :p

Okay okay, I quickly transferred a few photos to my flashy, so here you go: (the rest you'll see on FB when I finally get around to posting the album, these photos only feature Jabulani I think? I'll have to ask CP again - Joe was the bigger one (27years old) Jabulani(12years old) did more tricks so this is most probably him, and this is the first photo of me feeding them and Joe only showed up later) (completely forgot my photobucket details <_< )

Me feeding Jabulani(we had to be very careful not to touch the electrical fence! The elephants were also very cautious, they didn't want to get too close to the fence)

That is so cool that you got to feed elephants! My life has been pretty boring lately, especially comparing it to yours

LOL, don't worry, my life is usually also boring (normal), just seems like 2010 is my year, lots of new things and opportunities, CP and I keep joking that some day all the stories we're going to tell our children will be from 2010

Gerda I'm so jealous. As you know I love elephants, kindest most beautiful animals!

We had an eventful weekend as well. Luckily found a home for us to move into, quite nice compared to some of the horrible places we saw. After that we spent the long weekend with close friends. We also celebrated my Dad's 59th Birthday last Thursday so all in all it 's going very well :)

:p A few years ago we would always joke that our parents would always talk about things they did "20 years ago". Now it is more like "25 years ago" so you might find that your prediction comes true :p

    LOL, our poor children

How was step up 3D Codie?

I'm in a very crappy mood this morning <_< , we'll have to postpone our Magoebas trail running weekend, I was sooooo looking forward to it, but no, now I have to be sick. I was feeling a lot better yesterday and just to warm up my body I went for a spinning class last night, bad idea, I felt like I was dying through the night, had fever again and now I feel very stuffy and not well again this morning. So frustrating, I hate being sick, everything is already packed, organised and booked for the weekend and now we can't go :'(

sorry for the vent, I know it is not the end of the world, I'm just disappointed ;) :p

No, unfortunately I have to be, I don't have a dr's note for today, so I'm shamelessly lying on my desk and sleeping most of the time, though I'm leaving early (at 12) and going straight back to bed

That's a pity although I don't understand why some companies insist on having medical proof, it would seem much better to let people stay home when they are sick so they don't infect everybody else.
