My boys will be 6 monthd old on August 6th. I am still numb above my incision. It's odd. There are times where it's itchy and I think I am making some progress but it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

On the up side, I can do killer ab workouts because they don't hurt as bad.

Also, my scar is starting to flatten out on the ends, but it also seems to have stopped. Will it continue to get flat? I massage it every night.

As far as my c-section from the twins, I am 3 months out and still numb. However, I have an older DS who was a hair over 3 years old when I had the twins and my incision area from when I had him was still numb in places. I'm not sure it ever completely goes away. I may just be a freak though. :D

I think I was numb for almost the first year. It's still not 100% but not numb.

It's been 6 years for me and its still numb below my belly button. I'm pretty sure it isn't going away. But it doesn't bother me at all and my kids think it's funny to put ice cubes on my belly. (don't ask how that came about !)

My boys are almost 8 months and I am still numb. I asked my mom, she has had 2 sections, and she said was normal. My brother is 24 and she is still numb in some places

Almost 11 months in here and I am still numb in spots too. Sometimes I almost feel a teeny tiny slight pulling in spots like stitches pulling, must be the way it healed, that is usually above my belly button oddly enough. I think it's normal to feel numb though.

I was numb for quite a while after my first c-section and asked my OB about it - she said that I could regain feeling for up to a year after the surgery, but that any numbness that remained after a year would be mine forever. I can't remember how long it took, but I did regain all feeling by my baby's first birthday. I have not have the numbness issue with either of my two subsequent sections.

I'm 13 months out from my last c/s and parts are still numb.

Maybe I should try ab workouts!

At over two years now I can say my scar is almost invisible. I don't remember when the numbness disapeared, but I think it was at least a year. I also had the pregnancy line from my belly button down...that took almost a year and a half to go away (I'm fair). The only pain I feel now is when I get waxed! It's still painful beyond the normal torture pain :)

I never got my feeling back after my first c-section and that was 4 years ago! My doctor said that's unusual. It really hasn't caused any problems, but I still have an area that is about an inch tall and three inches wide that is numb on my stomach.

Almost 4 years for me and I still have a numb area...to the point that it grosses me out to lay face down on a hard surface because of the numbness. Mine scar also gets itchy from time to time.

My scar gets itchy from time to time as well. I don't really notice any numbness, but I don't really pay attention either. I hate touching it!

3+ years later its still numb. I also have a large vertical scar on my abdomen from another surgery and its been 14 years and that is still numb. I do hate when they itch though because you can't actually scratch that itch. ICK!

My two are almost two and I am still numb. I don't ever really think about it, but the other day I got a bug bite on my belly and it itched like crazy and I tried to scratch it and couldn't feel the scratching to help the itchiness - very odd sensation! Sadly, I don't really know what my scar looks like - I have a pooch that hides it when I look down  .

This is really interesting. My doctor made it sound like I was a freak to have a numb spot 4 years later, but obviously it's really common!
