Currently we own one potty and about 3 pairs of undies.

I understand the need to buy a second potty, but after that I'm a little lost. I want to do the 3 day method that involves wearing undies 24 hours a day (I do plan on having pull ups in case I chicken out for bedtime). How many undies do I need? Is 10 pairs of undies per child about right or am I way off?

I hope to use a stack of old towels for liquid messes. We have hardwood and cushion flooring so accidents should be easy to clean. Does anyone have a hints on quick and easy accident cleaning?

Does anyone recommend the flushable wipes? Are they worth the money?

Piddle pad for the car seats? Are they necessary?

    Anything else I might need?

I have a spray bottle of lysol handy and lots of wash cloths etc to wipe up the messes. yep another potty, or toilet ring ...

I haven't braved the car yet... good luck!

as for underwear, I think I have about 8 pairs each... but more wouldn't hurt... you'll want a few anyway so you don't have to do laundry all the time.

I have about 15-20 pairs of underwear per child. I have not really started with DS yet.
With DD, I'm not doing underwear 24 hours a day yet. I still use a pull up for nap and bedtime. She's doing pretty good staying dry while going out but I usually take extra wipes and an outfit with me just in case. I'll have to invest in piddle pads for the carseat.
I have not tried the flushable wipes yet.

Sounds about right to me. I did DD back in January and am just starting with DS now. I'd probably get 10 pairs of current size undies per child plus a few pairs in the next size up just in case you have a horrible day and don't have time to do a load of laundry. I have a piddle pad for the car seat and LOVE it. DD peed on the car seat a few times before I finally spent the $10 or whatever and bought it. It is a total PITA to take the cover off the car seat and wash it.

Oh, and I am pretty lazy about cleaning up messes. I sop up as much liquid as I can, then spray a little carpet cleaner on it and wipe with a wet towel. I am planning on getting the carpets and couches professionally cleaned when we are all done with PT.

My daughter recently potty trained (2 years 5 months) and my son is not yet...but I didn't want to wait because she was so clearly ready. The best best buy was the Pottette for traveling. Everywhere we go we take it. Youc an put it on the big potty or use it on the ground with little inserts. It's the best!!!

so glad to hear about the Pottette... I bought it back about 9 months ago as I was eager to make sure I had all the supplies. I have yet to use it, but have pulled it out to make sure I know where it is. I was trying to size it up and see if I'd be able to use grocery bags w/it and just put a mini/maxi pad on the bottom to soak up the urine!

...just wondering b/c I'm getting ready to make an undies purchase myself...

Is it better to buy training pants w/ some absorbency, or regular cotton undies w/ plastic pants over top?

    Thanks!
