I made an easy snack that kept my girls busy for a LONG time: frozen bananas. :) I cut a banana in half and put a stick in each half and then froze it in a freezer bag. At snack time, I just took them out of the freezer. When the kids weren't looking, I put a little magic shell chocolate syrup on mine. Yum!

I remember loving frozen bananas as a kid. I haven't had one in years!

What a good idea! And sneaking chocolate on mine and not theirs sounds like something like I would do... shame on me... lol.

I'm having flash backs to my Snoopy Snowcone maker :D

To the OP: I  frozen bananas, but haven't had them since I was a kid. I think I need to make them this week :)

Oh yeah. That is so me. Only my kids have gotten better than any breathalyzer test, and now if they can smell chocolate on my breath, I am BUSTED!

You can also dip them in yogurt and freeze them. For an added treat, throw a few sprinkles on the yogurt covered banana before freezing and your kids will think they are getting a full blown dessert!

Me too! We bought the girls the mickey mouse club house one. :headbang: Electric sounds like my way to go!

The girls love frozen bananas. They really like frozen blueberries too.

It was only $15 and you can freeze yogurt or juice and put those icecubes through it. It's easy to clean too. The blades are recessed and it's shaped like an upside down "V" with pretend glaciers on the top and bottom. My googling skills suck though and I can't find a link of it online. The only thing I find funny is that the cup has to be held sideways in order for it to fill up.

If you're freezing a plain banana, do you do it with the peel on or off?

We love frozen bananas great to do if kids aren't eating and starting to go bad. We often cover with chocolate but I like the yogurt idea.

We also love to make smoothies with frozen fruit, a little yogurt, and milk to thin. They think it is a treat but so healthy.
