no one really likes to eat dinner. i cant find anything they like that is 'dinner-ish'
    pasta - they eat SOMETIMES
cheese - they will always eat that or cheerios but im trying to get them to eat veggies, meats, etc and they hate everything.

they have a nice lunch around 1:30 or so and dinner about 4:00.

E is a picky eater. He won't eat something if he isn't in the 'mood' to eat it. For example he will eat mac/cheese one night and the next night totally not open his mouth!

I will sometimes just feed him veggies or basically whatever he will eat. Meat slices (rolled up), veggies, cheese slices. Good luck! I do agree with you... supper time can be a challenge and not much fun.

Maybe they aren't super hungry yet? You could try giving a very light snack and then waiting until 5:30-6:00ish for dinner. I find mine eat better if they get a small snack 1.5 to 2 hours before meals but it might just be my babies! And as for WHAT to feed them... well it's hit or miss in this house too. Every baby is totally different so you'll just have to experiment.

Current meat favorites of mine are cut up ham slices, cheesedogs (only allowed once a week :) ), meatloaf, gerber meat sticks, ground beef mixed with a little ketchup and mayo, occassionally they'll eat a ckn nugget. They are not into chicken and pork right now but they used to eat it so I keep offering it occasionally. For carbs mine will eat only rice and bread type items and tater tots, no pasta unfortunately. And for veggis they like canned peas, baby carrots steamed and tossed with a little butter and honey, sauteed mushrooms and squash, one likes baked sweet potatoes and sweet potato fries, and one loves steamed soybeans (edamame in the frozen section). Other than that I feel like they won't eat anything but snacks, which luckily they love cheese and one likes fruit and one likes yogurt and they both love cheese puffs, veggie puffs, teddy grahams, yogurt melts, strawberry newtons, pop tarts, etc.

And once you get it all figured out it will change again! Good luck! ;)

Keep trying it and make sure that it's flavorful. No bland foods.

I would agree to try and wait until later for dinner since they are eating lunch at 1:30. I also agree with keep trying and making dinner flavorful. I found (and still find at times) that my kids at that age usually ate one good meal and then the other two meals they seemed to pick at.

Mine still do that daily. It's a matter of trying to remember which meal was the big one the day before, it's usually not that one the following day!

My girls go through phases. one week they LOVE breakfast, and the next it is lunch ,and the week after that they love dinner. They never eat three good meals a day. We are lucky if they eat two good meals a day.

If they like cheese try some veggies with cheese. We use the green giant singles that you can buy in the freezer section. They love brocolli and cheese and cauliflower and cheese. I love the singles because they are pre-portioned and take three mintues in the microwave.

Or something else you could try if you are just concerened with them eating.....if they like breakfast them feed them breakfast twice a day. We have had to that on a few occasions. Something else to remember...Kids eat when they are hungry. They are so much more attune with their bodies than we are with ours.

I also agree that you may want to push dinner time back a lil bit. If they are eating a good lunch at 1:30 then I would do a small snack at 4 and then try dinner at five or five thirty.

    Good Luck!!!

I've started doing the cheese on their veggies, I just grate a little bit on top when they're warm and they'll at least eat some!
