Sometimes I get this stabbing pain way down low in the pubic area. Im guessing its my cervix. I dont have a dr appointment for a couple weeks. Would you be concerned or just wait to tell the dr when you see him? I had it a couple times the past few days.

I have been getting that feeling too for the last few days. I will be seeing my OB tomorrow and plan to ask him. I will stop by tomorrow and let you know what he says if you'd like?

Thanks that would be great!! Thats the thing with this twin pregnancy. It makes me worry more about everything the closer I get to my due date.

I feel it a lot, but I also felt it alot with my previous pregnancies. I have my cervix checked regularly and Im still 5cm+ for cervix length... so I would mention it for sure, but dont fret. :grouphug:

If urination is uncomfortable at all, get it checked. Untreated UTIs can be painful and dangerous if they move to the kidneys. If it isn't a UTI, it is probably ligaments, muscles, etc stretching and pulling. I remember getting stabbing pains basically right behind the pubic bone (sorry if TMI) in the last month or so. Some of them were painful enough to stop me in my tracks. The doctor just chuckled a little and said welcome to a twin pregnancy :(. Also, if one of your babes is breech, their kicking in the cervix area can be pretty painful as well. Mine kept switching positions and it seemed like one of them was feet down at all times and it hurt when they started kicking.

I had a breech baby who liked to use his feet to kick me straight out! It hurt so bad. If you've got a breech kid, it could be that.

I agree that it could be either breech baby or UTI-I would check with your doctor.

Just wanted to come back and let you know what the OB told me. He said it could be a number of things

    1) the start of an infection
    2) Baby A beating my cervix
    3) The nerves that run along the cervix being irritated by the added weight of the babies

I go to the peri tomorrow and they'll be checking my cervix and I plan to ask them too because I never take one doctors opinion when it comes to my pregnancy :)If they say something different I'll be sure to come back and let you know!
