A&R do not want to have ANYTHING to do with the potty. Either the big one (with the ring in the seat) or the little froggie potties. They freak out when putting on underwear or pull ups, like they're terrified of them. So I'm gonna table potty training for another month or so. :)

For us it was like a switch went off in their heads when they turned 3. Before 3, no consistent interest. After 3, must wear big girl undies NOW! I hope the same is true for your kiddos. GL!

My guys can tell me when they have to poop so DH thinks they're ready for potty training. Unfortunately they cry and get hysterical when we try to put them on the potty. I'm with you; we're waiting! :good:

I would just wait. See if they want to come with you when you go to the bathroom, and hopefully seeing you will help alleviate those fears. Talk it up, before actually attempting to train, and make sure you tell them all the cool things Big-Kids get to do! Good Luck!

Yeah mine aren't wanting to do it anymore either. They were all into it and were out of diapers for a couple of weeks. Then, I don't know what happened but they decided they wanted diapers again. If I ask them if they want to wear panties they say no and they say they want to poop in their diapers.

It's so weird, who would want to sit in that?! I guess they just aren't ready. I figured I'd keep on offering and am hoping one day they'll want to do it. I can't force them.

My girls did the same thing about a month after we initially trained. :gah: I just let it ride, and put them back in diapers and didn't say anything about it one way or another. I gave it a few weeks and gave it another go, and it has been smooth sailing ever since.

Mine are 2yrs 6 mos and I am stalling awhile as we are moving to a new home. Hoooowever, with another one on the way, the thought of diapers for 3 is like "whoa!" So once we get settled into the house (in 2-3wks) I want to get them into a good routine there and try again. Baby is due October 28...cross your fingers!

same with me...Abby decided she wanted to wear panties - she wasn't going to pee on the princesses (LOL) and that was it...Ian had to be forcibly removed from his pull ups with cool colored boxer briefs like daddy's and it took him about 4 days to pee train - and he was about 3y1m when I trained him...

I'm glad to hear that others have regressed. The first day we had potties, both girls were thrilled. They both sat on them, and even peed in them! Then all of a sudden Hannah didn't want it. She would scream, "NO! No sit on potty!" while Hailey wanted to sit there all day and never go... ugh. Maybe we'll make some progress soon...

I hope yours do well. Maybe they just need a little more time!

We don't use potties here - can't stand them myself! So we just use the toilet with or without a child seat on it. They are still in nappies but at nuddie time each evening they will ask to use the toilet and they do not like having poop in their nappy. But we are away for the summer so am going to try to toilet train them then. Just wondering whether going straight to the toilet might help? Good luck!
