Funnies from this morning's 3 year well child visit

We went to our very belated 3 year well child visit this morning and met our new pedi (our old doctor took another position 45 minutes away). This new doctor is very nice and bubbly and the girls LOVE her! Its so funny now that they are older the doctors asked them the questions ("What do you use in the car to keep you safe?" "What do you wear when you are riding a bike?" etc).

So the doctor asked them what kinds of food they like to eat. Ana immediately yelled "VEGETABLES!!!" Which is true and funny and not at all coached (I swear!). Then the doctor asked what kinds of veggies. Meara said "Mac & Cheese!" and Ana said "And broccoli too."

Then the doctor asked them about peeing and pooping on the potty. Meara very proudly stated "We wear big girls undies all the time. Even to bed now!" Then the doctor asked about Ana because she had a virus awhile back and some constipation issues. So Ana told her "Last time I was here with my poopy virus and the doctor, well actually she wasn't really a doctor, she was learning to be a doctor. She pressed on my belly. And then the real doctor came in too." Um, yup, she indeed saw a pediatric resident and then the pediatrician... guess Ana is figuring out how this teaching hospital practice works. :laughing:

Both girls are doing great and we don't have to go back until a year from now when they get their physical before pre-k :cry: When did my babies turn into kids?!

 

Oh, that is too funny! :rofl: (And tell Meara that I wholeheartedly agree that mac n cheese should count as a veggie! Hey, wheat is a plant!)

 

cute! its so fun to hear stories of kids a year older, 'cause ours are no where near that type of conversation! i love the stories!

I think your girls should hang out with my two. . .can you imagine the conversations they would have?

Can Ivy join the party? She is obsessed with farts! Just the other day she was wiggling around in her chair, and explained, "There's a fart stuck in my butt!"
