We do swaddle. And he actually fights to get out of his swaddle. So we usually start the night swaddled and when he starts fighting it we try and let one arm out and wrap him back up. Sometimes that calms him down, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know what to do with him. I was literally up with him all night long last night. I went to bed around 9 and he woke up crying around 1030 and I never went back to bed after that.

I think its possible if he is that agitated, that his reflux is not under control. I would consult your Ped to see if there is something else that you can try. We did Zantac and that didnt work. We went to Prevacid and that was a life saver. We also thickened their feeds with cereal and kept them upright for at least 30 minutes after every feed (even at night).

Yeah, zantac = sucky. Prevacid = life-saver. Prevacid and Alice sleeping on an angle (two sleep positioners velcroed together)? Lots of sleep for me!!

I ditto the prevacid, it was a life saver with Rylee as well! Zantac didn't work for my oldest ds or my girl twin, it's very weight sensitive and since they gain weight so fast in the first year, it was useless within a week or starting it!

The only downfall is that prevacid is on our insurance companies list of medications they charge an arm and a leg for. So far the zantac seems to be helping in conjunction with the formula change...so we'll just have to wait and see how long it continues to work. :)
