Well, I did it - thanks to all of you who encouraged me not to chicken out! The little guys left on Monday (just a few tears from me, I tried really hard to hold it together) and they will be back on Friday. They are having a great time with Mimi and Pappy, lots of play, lots of cuddles, lots of fun! We, too, are having a great time (though I really, really miss them! ). We took Lennon out to eat last night and then went to our friends' house and Lennon got to play with their DD. We even stayed late (10:00!) because a 6 year old can handle that every once in awhile - and it is something we wouldn't have dreamed of doing with the little guys on a work night! Today (last day of school) I am picking Lennon up and we are going to go see Shrek and go get lunch somewhere. lennon has really, REALLY enjoyed having the house to himself and not having to share with 2 demanding little 2-year-old brothers. It has been good for everyone. So thank you for encouraging me to go for it! I can't wait to see my "babies" tomorrow, though! I've really missed them! Having 1 child is nothing like having 3 (it is almost a bit boring after having 3!) - less chaos for sure, but I wouldn't change our busy, crazy, noisy life for anything! Thanks again for your support, ladies!
 You know, give them a few days (or maybe a week) to recover and rest - they would probably be thrilled to bring 2 more 2 year olds home with them! They love it!
:clapping: YEA! So glad you went through with it. It sounds like you guys have really been able to enjoy some one on one time w/ Lennon. AND...I am sure the twins have had a blast at the grandparents!
:yahoo: Jori! I knew you could do it! Enjoy your lovely day with Lennon (BTW, I totally love his name!)!
Mine are going for 2-3 nights at the end of June. I hope I'm as brave as you. We did it for two nights last year and I didn't feel as guilty then as I'm feeling now. I don't get it.
Jori, that sounds like a little slice of heaven. Congrats on finishing out the school year. I know this was a tough one for you.
Thanks, Ladies. I'd encourage anyone who has the opportunity to let your twins go to a family member's house for a few days to GO FOR IT. It was a really nice break. And I can promise you this: Once they return, it feels like they never even left! So, really enjoy the time while it is happening! Thank you, Rachel. It was a heck of a year. For me, it was much harder than even the FY with my twins - minus the sleep deprivation, of course (not sure that anything really compares to that one). I am SO glad to be done. I'm hoping that each year it will get easier.
 I'm glad you enjoyed your time. I think this is good for everyone, it's nice for the little ones to have some alone time with the Grandparents too.
