Stabbing Pains?

Ladies - HELP - did you/do you ever have very bad sharp, stabbing pains in pregnancy?

I have had random stabbing pains all day right in the center of my uterus area and they are getting more frequent and killing me!! Wtf is this?? I haven't bled at all today really (I mean a drop or two here and there, but not much - I have bled for 19 days straight due to burst vessels in my uterus, the babies are fine) so I believe there is no relation to the bleeding.

Is this just pain from the uterus stretching? It isn't constant. Maybe stabs 1-6 times, stops, then starts again in a couple of minutes. It's like halfway between my belly button and pubic bone.

I know it's not round ligament pain, because I've had that and that feels more like muscles pulling around my groin uterus. This is a really random stabbing right in the center. It feels similar to what I believe were implantation cramps, but more intense.

Should I call the doctor about this?

 

I would call. It cant hurt!!
I never had sharp stabbing pains-just the round ligament pains as you described them.

Well I hope everything turned out ok! But I am 27 weeks now, and so far throughout the pregnancy I have gotten stabbing pains here and there. I have asked my doctors and nurses and they say everything is fine, its just the ligaments stretching. It hurts like heck though and comes out of no where!!

Thanks everyone! Turns out things are just fine. I talked to the nurse. It is probably "growing pains" and actually I drank some water after it happened and that really helped it. It's easy to freak about every little thing when we had to conceive via IVF and now we're high risk. Thanks for the support!!! :FIFblush:

 

Glad u r ok. I had similar pain this morning and I am at 29 weeks We conceived through fertility treatments as well and it is soo scary to think something is going wrong when you're in the 3rd Trimester! Hang in there I will pray for you and your babies.
