Aurora can only wear Pampers without them leaking and I usually buy the Extra Protection ones since she drinks a lot and pees a lot. Wal-mart was out of them so I grabbed cruisers with the new dry max. Within 3 diapers, she's got a rash. She tends towards rashes during the day anyhow, so I don't know if it's the diapers, or just her. Anyone else having diaper rash with these?

I never really buy pampers, but I heard something about this on the news today. I just googled pampers dry max, and this was one of the first things to come up:

We use Pampers with Dry max and haven't had any problems with them. Sometimes the boys get a minor rash, but nothing as severe as these ladies have been reporting. I always found Pampers to work best with my kids than Huggies do. I will use Huggies if we don't have any choice, but haven't had any problem with Pampers.

We've always used Pampers and haven't noticed a difference with the Dry Max ones.

I've had no problems with the dry max pampers and my boys have sensitive skin. However, that doesn't mean other kids with sensitive skin won't get a rash. It seems there's a bad reaction that some kids have. It might be the food they are eating along with the new pampers, not sure, but if your child is getting a rash, then it may be time to try a new brand and see if the rashes disappear.

UPDATE: I took them back and the store manager gladly exchanged them. He said this has been going on a lot. I've used Pampers several times in the past with no problems. I got the baby dry this time, as they still didn't have the extra protection we usually get for her. The rash was less intense after a day in her sister's Huggies (although we had a few leaks!) so I'm hoping it will clear up soon.

We had no new food or loose stools, so my only thought is that it's the diapers. I was slow to jump on the anti-dry max bandwagon, but the proof is in the pudding (or rash in this case). I'm just glad that not every kid is as affected by it and sincerely hope that Pampers will consider going back to their former cruisers diaper. Why fix what's not broken anyhow? :headbang:

I have tried just about every diaper on my girls because of leaks.I never tried the new cruisers because the old ones work TERRIBLE on them. Surprisingly and a plus to my wallet the best diapers so far are the Target brand, they hardly ever leak and save me money!

I tried a sample of the new pampers dry max with my girls. After one overnight use, one of my twins had the first diaper rash of her life. It was an awful blistered rash the resembled a chemical burn. The skin peeled off and was bloody and raw after only one diaper!!!! Their doctor called it contact dermatitis and prescribed some ointment that dried it up within a day or two. He said it was the 5th complaint he'd seen of babies with serious diaper rash following a change to the new pampers.

We're back to using cloth diapers and huggies for overnight and roadtrips.

Wow, I'm really glad the manager exchanged them. Sounds like the new Pampers are causing all sorts of problems.

I'm a Costco diaper fan myself. The Pampers just smell chemically to me. :pardon:

Not sure if others have posted this information - sorry if it is a repeat. I have seen some emails about this at work - there appear to be some issues with Pampers see link for more info. I didnt pay much attention since we use Huggies or Costco.
