    Hi all,

I am fairly new here- been browsing topics for a while. We are 23 weeks along with twin baby girls! We have a 6 yr old son as well. It's been a roller coaster ride wrapping our minds around having two but I'm getting excited. Thanks for all the great advice here!

i also have a 6 year old son who i am hoping is going to be a whole lot better than if he was lets say 3 or 4 with 2 babies around. I am only 15 weeks so i do not know what i am having. It is nice to know i am not the only mom who waited a little while to have a baby or well babies again. when did you find out about the twins?

I had my now 2 yr old boys when my older children were 6 and 9. They adapted quite well and were pretty helpful when I needed something. As long as I was honest with them about what was happening to me, everything was fine. Having the boys with them being older helped. However now the boys are 2 and I am expecting again, so I am curious as to how the boys are gonna react to a new baby. They are at the point now where they lift up my shirt and say "baby" although they have no idea what that rwally means.

We found out at 8 weeks but still just really having a hard time adjusting. I wanted another child for so long- wanted my son to have a playmate- and we just never were able to get pregnant. We chose not to do any fertility treatments the whole 4 years because we really did not want to have multiples. And ha, we get spontaneous twins. I do like the idea of having a larger family and also the fact that I won't have another "only" child with my son being 6. But for some reason, I'm just hyper emotional and sometimes wish it was just one. I feel incredible guilty b/c I know I'm doubly blessed. And I know as soon as they come, I'll be overjoyed. And I do feel this is God's blessing so I don't know why I complain about it. Maybe it's the unknown.
