Only one moving?

:sorry: I'm going crazy. Normally I can tell both babies are moving just fine and it's noticeable during the day. The past couple days it feels like I'm only able to feel the left baby move and my right side seems motionless. People have told me sometimes you'll have a couple days of quiet where the baby will slow down and you don't feel much. But I'm 31 weeks and almost daily can feel movement and pressure on both sides of my belly.

Is it possible I am feeling both and they have just positioned themselves where I am only feeling it on one side more than the other? Is this all really normal and I'm just stressing myself out? LOL First time mom and with them being mono-di I worry that there is even more chance of issue, so sorry if it's kind of silly of me.

Any advice or info would be awesome! <3

I did not have mono/di twins...but my son was always the mover and shaker I could feel in there. My DD, especially towards the end of the pregnancy, her movements were very hard to detect (we usually had to get a biophysical profile at the end of every NST to have her checked out)...the way she and her placenta were positioned in there, made it harder to detect her movements. I would say if you are still concerned to bring it up with your OB.

I am glad to know I am not the only one. I do feel baby B move but not as much as baby A. I think it's just the way she is positioned. I planned on bringing it up to the doctor next week.

I almost never felt baby b move (she was transverse and he was vertex). They told me it was probably the way she was positioned she may have been in tighter where he had more room to move. I would prob still let my ob know just to ease my fears!
    Good luck!

This post sounds like me a couple months ago. I had mono -di spontanous ID girls as well. In the beginging I thought I knew which one would kick when, but they move so much and there are so many body parts you never really know who is kicking or moving in their.I usd to freak out and think I onhly felt baby A move all the time, but come to find out it was baby B because she was taking up all the room and squishing her sister. So you never really know waht position they are in, mine moved from both head down, to baby b being but down and back being head down in 4 days of time during my 35th week. I would not worry too much.

When you go to the doctor and you are getting ultra sound when you feel one move you can always say was that baby a or baby b, or that was baby a right? to the ultra sound tech so you can get a general idea of who is where for that short amount of time that they might stay in that positon!
No worries I am sure both your girls are doin great!!

I always feel Baby A more than Baby B, I think because of how he is positioned. I've worried a little, just because my Baby B is smaller, but every time I've gone for an ultrasound they are both moving and punching and kicking like crazy. I guess I just don't feel him as much. I'm sure as I get further along I'll be feeling both of them a lot more. They seem to be really active.

Thanks guys! :yahoo: Your stories and advice help tons.

It is probably just one being squished more than the other cause they did mention that at one of my last appointments. I guess I cannot help but worry! :p I have both OB and specialist appointment on Monday so that will put me at ease when I can hear and see them. We just recently switched to the US being 4 weeks apart so that's probably what's driving me even more up the wall.

In reality I'm sure they are both taking turns punching my bladder to strengthen up for the big day. :D

I hardly ever felt baby A towards the end. She too was just so squished that she had a hard time moving, plus her hands and feet were mostly towards the inside, not up against anything. B on the other hand, he was punching my heart!!

I had that too whenI was pregnant with my twins. I went and had a quick u/s turns out I was feeling both in the same place. Peyton pushed Eli out of the way so he could get comfy and spread out more. He still is the boss and they are 4 years old now!

If you do a search on my previous post you'll see a post worded almost exactly!!! I have mono-di boys and wow - was I concerned at times. It was my Baby A that was the 'quiet' one - ironically he's the first to crawl/stand/furniture walk now. He was turned inward towards his bro - so Baby B was taking the brunt of all the kicks/punches.

I agree that you'll feel better Monday. If you REALLY think there is no movement, call the office and get in for a heartbeat check. Just to reassure you.

I had very few u/s so I spent a LOT of time worrying.
