Family picture on Sunday

    On Sunday we are getting our pictures taken at Sears (just the 4 of us, me, DH, and my girls). Any advice on what we should wear? I like the idea of the colors of our shirts being similar. Any thoughts?

    I think wearing the same colored shirts is a nice touch! I would bring snacks (non messy) and books/toys to occupy the girls in case you have to wait a little bit before it's your turn. Good luck!

    Every time we have our pictures taken, our photographer tells us the same thing:
    - no prints
    - no writing or words on the clothes
    - solid colours
    - all in jeans or dress clothes
    It always looks great. Complimentary colours are a good idea. Our last ones we put the babies in white shirts and jean overalls and we wore black shirts with jeans and it looked excellent. That is what has worked for us in the past. I hope they turn out well!

    I really like the idea of wearing the same colored shirts, or coordinating colors. The family pictures I've seen like this have turned out awesome! Good luck with the photo shoot and post pics when you get them back! :)

    yes, yes, and yes!

    We've done a couple of shoots where we've worn black and it looks nice. I love the one where we wore jeans and nice china blue shirts, then the kids were in patterned outfits... it really looks great. I'll try to link up one of my favorite pictures... you can just see our jeans... but its a fun one. their outfits were mainly white and had blue and green stripes for my ds and dots for my dd.
