Anatomy Scans

Wed I have my anatomy and cervical length scan. How long will the anatomy scan take for di/di twins? My ob said that after this scan I will go in every month for a cervix length/growth check scan. Will those take long as well?

 

They usually allot an hour for our growth scans. Our tech is really good now though, especially since we've seen her so many times and now she knows where the babies are and is familiar with them. So some days we are in and out in 30 minutes. But it usually takes about 45 on average. Good Luck!

 

My scans are always allotted 30 minutes each scan. Both anatomy and growth. My twins are also di/di.

 

Our anatomy scan took about an hour and a half. The practice where we get them done has two people do them individually - so one technician completes her scan and then another one comes in after to check and reconfirm. Subsequent scans - I normally allot about an hour (including cervical checks).

 

I had my anatomy scan last week, and I was in and out within an hour. The twins were cooperative and the tech was quick. The dr. came in about half way and reviewed everything the tech had already doen then supervised the rest of the scan. It was very informative and reassuring.

Mine isn't scheduled for two more weeks but they told me when I made the appointment that it is usually 90 minutes for twins.

 

thanks everyone! I am going to plan on having the babysitter for 3-4 hours then (i need 2hrs to get to and from the hospital)
