So my babies are 10 weeks old now & they have gas....I don't mean a little they can really stink you out of a room. Now I really wouldn't care so much but it hurts them when it's all stuck up in there. So I've tried regular gas drops, and putting them on their left side, bicycling legs, blah I've looked it all up. So I stumbled upon something else to try. It's called Gripe Water it's an all natural remedy & I was just wondering has anyone else ever used this? Did it work? The doc said there wasn't anything I could really do, that it is just a phase - which is crap my kids are in pain!

My DD had this problem at this age. There really wasn't much to do but to just wait it out. We did use gripe water and that seemed to help a little bit. With something like this though you will probably just have to wait it out.

We tried a few different gripe water brands, including the ridiculously expensive Colic Calm, and none of those helped our boys. I do, however, think the Cocyntal vials by Boiron usually helped our boys when they had gas and tummy pains.

My DS had and still has this problem too. It started a little earlier than your boys and so did his reflux. To be honest i've tried mylicon drops and gripe water but it didn't do very much to be honest. We're now twelve weeks and it is getting better on it's own. We still have to burp him several times every feeding but it's better and he can now sleep for continuos periods without writhing around.

    GOOD LUCK.

I used both gripe water and mylecon drops and I honestly didn't see much of a difference between the two. One of my boys was really gassy and the gas was clearly bothering him so I switched to the target version of gentalease and it really worked wondered for him. I recently switched back to regular and he is fine, but his tummy has always been a bit more sensitive than his brothers.

I never really had any luck with Gripe Water or any of the other gas remedies. A change in formula might help, otherwise they will outgrow it eventually. I know it's horrible to think there is nothing you can do!

I had this problem when my girls were the same age. The doctor said there isn't much you can do, but suggested we try Ovol or gripe water (make sure there is no alcohol in it) if it would make us feel better to be trying SOMETHING. They didn't help much, I don't think. But we always managed to get some toots out of them if we did bicycles with their little legs. It will pass soon - hang in there!

Same here. Other than a change in formula or your diet, however they are being fed, Cocyntal helps some. We used this in the early, early weeks for their constant crying, and we use it now when they are especially gassy. Mylicon only works on the gas that is in their stomach. Once it passes on from there, Myilcon can't do anything for it.
