When did you find out what you were having?

At my last ultrasound the doctor said he is 90% sure they are Mono/Di and Baby B is measuring a week behind Baby A so they are having me go in for a level 2 ultrasound with a perinatologist on April 20th. I'm going to be 17 weeks 1 day at that point. Would they be able to take a guess at the genders?

they should definitely be able to tell the genders. normally around 16 wks it becomes really clear. good luck!

My perinatologist told me Baby A was a girl at 13 weeks and that baby B was a boy at 15 weeks (he had his legs crossed at 13 weeks). Their machines are much more sensative than a regular ob and used to staring at babies all day so they usually tell you earlier than a regular ob will.

They will probably be able to give a good guess!

With my singleton, at 11 weeks my OB said he thought my baby was a son. Yes, it was very early, but he was right!

With my twins, it was 12-13 weeks when the sonographer saw a weenie on each baby. She said she technically wasn't supposed to tell us her guess (office policy), but she pointed them out on the screen to us because they were as clear as day. Sure enough... two boys.

I hope your babies cooperate so you can get a good view!

The tech told us at 13 weeks that she "thought" that Baby B was a boy, looked a little thick between the legs. We took it with a grain of salt. Then at 17w3d we found out A was a girl and B was a boy, so the tech was right at 13 weeks. :good:

I found out super super early! At an u/s at almost 12wks the ob said about 51/49 both were boys. By my 14wks u/s it was 80/20 boys. 18wk it was 100% both were boys! I am having di/di boys.

    Same here :)

we were told at 12wks that one was definitely a girl and the other could go either way.

our ob didnt try to guess at 14wks

we had an u/s at 15wks where the tech THOUGHT it was 2 girls, but cautioned that she couldnt get a good view

we had an u/s at 16wks and some change where the tech didn't try stating it was too early

HOPEFULLY we will find out for sure at 19wks with the big u/s

At 12 weeks the tech couldn't tell, told us it was just too early to tell yet. We were hoping to find out at 16 weeks, but the doctor couldn't tell at that one. The babies weren't turned right and they didn't do a big U/S with the tech at that appointment. I have another appointment next week with the big U/S and hopefully they will finally be able to tell. I have had a feeling for a couple of weeks now, but of course I could be wrong. We are dying to know!

The first guess I was told a ? and a boy at 15 weeks.....turns out I had 2 girls!! They told me g/g at 17 weeks and again at 21/24/etc. We still painted the nursery green just in case the first guess was right.

We were told two girls at 13 weeks, but the tech said not to go buy anything yet....

At 17 weeks they confirmed, two girls!

At 12wks, we saw Baby A to have what we THOUGHT was a winkie, even the tech said that is what she thought...but wasn't too sure. Then at 16wks and again at every U/S since, they have been girls. Not sure what we saw that first time because it was obvious. We have also painted our nursery green just in case!! haha..But the bedding is really girly, so that will make it difficult if one is a boy! Good luck!

At 16 weeks my OB knew we wanted to find out the sex and she points to the screen and says "see that? It looks like it could be a penis." We were like "oooh!". Then she says "but it's not. It's the umbilical cord." :slap:

We found out at 15w5d. She was only able to make out one of the babies, but since we knew for a fact that they were ID (that's also the same appt that we were diagnosed with TTTS), there was only one possibility for the gender of the other baby :) She was 100% certain of it, too.

It seems a lot of you are having a lot of u/s early on!! Frankly, I'm jealous!! My dr. told me at first I wouldn't have my first u/s until 18-20 weeks but I had a bleed so I had my first u/s at 6 weeks. Then at 10 weeks he tried to hear the babies heartbeat via doppler and couldn't... I asked for another u/s and he said since I had no more bleeding and everything seemed fine it wasn't necessary and that we should definitely be able to hear the heartbeats at the next appt (14 weeks), which is today!!! I'm very excited! Well if we hear the heartbeats I assume I wont have another u/s until week 18-20....
I am thinking about paying at about 16 weeks to get a 3d/4d u/s, any thoughts ladies?? I'm very excited to find out what I'm having and to see the babies!!!!

Well our big scan is on Tuesday!! I can NOT WAIT!!! I am hoping for some cooperative babies as it sounds like it's definitely possible to tell at 17 weeks 1 day. I'm SO excited!!! And we should hopefully get confirmation then on the mono/di or di/di question
