This Week's Appointments April 5-9

My only appointment this week is my C-section on Wednesday morning. WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! :silly:

 

Had my reg Dr visit today and everything normal. Wednesday I'll be 31 weeks!! Friday we have another growth scan to see how they are doing!

 

Had an unexpected Dr. visit this morning as I had been feeling braxton hicks a lot more often over the last couple of days and closer together than I have ever felt. I also was experiencing reduced movement from Baby A. They had me on the monitor for an hour and B was great, A's heartrate stayed ok, but she didn't move much. They did an Ultrasound and the fluid and all else looks good. Cervix was 3.86cm and internal revealed still closed. No explanation really, but she put me on bedrest for a couple days and wants to repeat the NST on Wed. We shall see then if I get to stay on bedrest or go back to work for a bit (I was trying to make it through April, but will do whatever the Doc says!). A is moving more now (of course), but still more quiet than B. Hoping I can make it to 34wks (my personal goal).

 

I had my 18wk appt today. I was excited to find out the genders but we didnt get to since our ob had to race out to a delivery 5min into the appt. We did hear the babies heart beats and I am measuring out at 21wks and gained 8lbs this past month bringing the total to 25lbs gained. I am so sad DH won't be with me next week when we finally get to do the u/s.

I have a growth scan tomorrow. I love going to them now because DH and I always place a bet on how big we think they've gotten. I usually win, BTW.

 

I have a 34 week appointment on Friday April 9th.

Today we had our 34 week, and possibly last, u/s. Baby A was 5 pounds 5 ounces and Baby B was 5 pounds 1 ounce. Everyone thinks they are looking great and were told that if the girls decide to come, the doctors won't try to stop them. I'm still hoping for 3 more weeks, but relieved that they have grown so well thus far.

 

Monday I had an ultrasound at my regular OB-GYN. She was hoping to find a membrane separating the babies but neither her nor the tech could find anything. So they scheduled me to see a perinatologist next week. We'll probably stick with the perinatologist for the rest of the pregnancy if possible even though its an hour and a half drive - it'll be worth knowing that me and the babies are in good hands. It was awesome seeing the babies for the first time since we got the surprising news of twins. They were measuring right on time at 13 weeks. Baby B was a mover and a shaker just like his/her dad and Baby A was calm like me. The tech had to shake my belly to get Baby A to move around. Heartbeats were 154 and 158.

 

Had my 27 week apt today, checked my cervix and still hard no dialation, braxton hicks and pee blood. They did a sono on my kidneys and bladder, tested my blood etc, NO explanation for the blood in my urine, there is no pain, and I was even on antibiotics to see if that would help and it didnt. hmmm weird, has anyone else had this?? Other than that, I measured at 32 weeks, and weigh 147, was 115 pre pregnancy.. Next friday we go for an ultrasound to check babies growth, we found out last week we are having a boy and a girl!!

 

Had our growth scan of the girls today and they are growing great! Baby A is 4.3lbs and Baby B is 4.5lbs -- they gained 3.6lbs in a month. So happy they are growing this well!
