    Hi Girls,

I am trying to get my 18 months old OFF the milk bottle, but I want to know what did you guys do to get them off the bottles and what time was the last meal? My twins schedule is...

Wakeup at 8-ish have the 8 oz milk.
    11- 12 Lunch Time
    4-5 Snack time
    6-7 dinner time
8-8:30 their last bottle of milk.

What is the last meal so they don't wake up at night with hunger. Please give me some suggestions.

    Thank you so much
    Mina

Mine had been STTN for awhile before we dropped bottles, so when we dropped the bedtime bottle, they were already not waking up due to hunger in the middle of the night.
What I did was drop a bottle a week and replace it with a sippy of milk. Our schedule at 18 months was like this:
7:30-8: wake up, sippy of milk, breakfast
    11:00-11;30 Lunch
    12:30 snack
    1-4-nap
    4:30 dinner
6:00 snack (if they want it and eat a decent dinner) & night time milk
    7:30-bed time
They get sippy of water throughout the day and also if they want some milk right before bedtime, I will give them some but they do not ask for it often.

    Good luck!!!

Well the problem with my twins are that, they don't drink with sippy cup or in the straw bottle before bedtime. Can i replace the milk after they wake up from nap and before dinner give them a snack> and please also give me some ideas for snacks. i am really having a tough time with this.

    thank you
    Mina

We transition ours from bottles to sippies cold turkey. Mine could drink out of the sippy they just didn't want to until they knew their only option was the sippy.
As for the last meal, mine have all eaten around 5 or 5:30 and then down for bed, no sippy or milk after dinner.
Here is a link to another snacks post with some great ideas.
