I need some reassurance that what I am feeling is "normal."

My baby A is VERY low. The perinatal assessment nurses who do my NSTs love marveling at how low into my hips she is (and has been)... and my twins haven't dropped yet (we're 32 weeks 5 days today). Lately, A has has been directing some really strong kicks and punches right at my cervix. Sometimes, it feels like she's going to kick a foot through. Her attacks are causing a lot of sensation down there. Sometines, it feels like she is scraping me, other times the punches trigger a brief, reflex-like tightening. I am worried that all of her attacks on my cervix are going to trigger complications. Did/does anyone else have a similar situation or feel similar sensations? Did anyone experience complications from their twins' attacks on their cervix?

FWIW - I am having Braxton Hicks contractions, but they are not regular and do not appear to be influenced by A's wallops.

I am in the exact same situation you are in. My Baby A is a girl and she is very low. FWIW our Baby B is a boy and he is transverse across the top of my belly. Anywho...I do get the same feelings you have. In fact, on more than one occasion she has also made me pee my pants because of her acrobatics near my bladder. I asked my doctor about it because at some times her wallops can be momentarily painful on my cervix and she said that there's no real way to tell if she's doing anything until something happens. I guess meaning that until I start having contractions from it or until she actually does punch a hole in my cervix then there's really nothing to do.

I wish she'd ease up a bit though....it's incredibly uncomfortable.

same here. Both girls, but A is very low, head down in my cervix and B changes from transverse to breech every couple days and is mid to high in my belly. I get those punches to the cervix and the scrolling hands or whatever is going on down there quite often!!

It's common, singleton or twins. Don't worry, the baby won't bust through. :) But boy does it hurt!!

I've gotten basically the same response from my doctor, which doesn't do much to ease my mind. I appreciate SunnyInSeattle's note that it is common in all pregnancies and the baby won't bust through. Some days I swear I am going to feel a leg hanging out. Thanks to you all for the reassurance.

I suppose I should have also shared that this is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what to expect. Plus, I am an adopted only child, so my mom is as clueless about pregnancy symptoms as I am. I tell her what's going on and together we work ourselves into a worry tizzy. Talk about the blind leading the blind!
