    Hello,

I am struggling with what to get for ds if I get dd a doll or girly item like a My Little Pony. What else do you do besides cars. They just don't seem equal to the girls toys. With the girls toys you can brush hair and dress them but cars you can only roll them back and forth. I am trying to get ideas for ds for their birthday since I got dd a doll. I am also getting them a swing set and maybe the Scout and Violet plush. Any ideas would be appreciated. TIA!!

My two love their Scout and Violet plush. My DS also loves Mega Blocks, books, he does love cars and trucks (my DD loves to play with them too), Talking Diego backpack...
    Good luck!

My little ones turned 2 today and I felt similar to your post. I also found it easier to shop for my daughter, probably because I remember playing with and loving all those girly toys and dolls out there. I can't relate to the boy stuff as well. So I got my daughter a baby doll with a change of clothes and my son a big green garbage truck that has buttons and makes noises and flashes lights and he loved it instantly. Actually, I think my daughter was a little jealous!

What's wrong with getting your DS a doll or stuffed animal? :pardon: My boys have dollies, and enjoy playing with them occasionally. When their cousin was visiting a few weeks ago, Jack frantically signed "doll" until she shared her baby doll with him, and he gave her his in return.

I know they used to make "boy dolls" once upon a time (with caps and sneakers, etc.). Maybe they still make them....

This morning my nanny brought her 10 YO daughter with her, and they had 2 American Girl dolls with a garbage bag full of clothes (she got the lot used from a relative). When I left for work the boys were digging through the bag of clothes and running through the house with the accessories!

    ETA: How about Dapper Dan?!

I had thought about getting him a doll also. There are a few cute ones on ebay, but not quite what I had in mind. I may end up getting the Bitty Baby twins. They are boy/girl. Pottery Barn also has some cute baby dolls. They both already have a ton of stuffed animals. Thank you, I feel better about getting him one now.

eta: I just saw your link at the bottom. He is adorable. He looks like a great option. Thanks so much!!!

I saw your post once about Scout and Violet, that is actually where I got the idea!! They will most likely be getting these as well. I think they are adorable. I will probably end up playing with them too :give_rose:. Thank you for the other ideas too.
