My LOs started solids for the first time last week and it was quite the experience!! We started out with rice cereal and have since tried applesauce and bananas. Vivian seems quite eager to try things but Ava is a bit more hesitant. I just wanted to share some pictures because they are pretty funny (especially the faces Ava makes). I can't believe we are already half way through the first year...

    Vivian enjoying some rice cereal

Ava NOT enjoying the rice cereal

    Vivian still going strong

    Ava also not enjoying applesauce

    Vivian - applesauce face

Ava - please, enough with the solids already!!

So, sooooo cute!! :FIFblush: Love the pics! BTW, how are those spoons working out? I still think they look pretty cool and may make some good "first spoons" for our boys when they start self-feeding, but haven't bought any yet.

Those are great pics!! I wish I had taken pictures of the faces Jack used to make when he tasted a food for the first time. It didn't matter if he liked it or hated it, but the first taste would always result in a huge grimace like he was drinking sour milk!

The spoons are actually working out pretty well - Vivian especially loves holding it and chomping on it. Ava is not as interested in holding it but she is starting to get more used to it. I don't expect them to be self-feeding any time soon but at least this way they can begin to get more used to the idea of using a spoon. I would definitely recommend them! Play and Learn Spoon
