How Do You Define SSTN?

I know the technical definition for Sleeping Through the Night is 11-5 or something like that.
I'm just curious how y'all define it. At what point do you consider a child to be STTN?

My twins sleep from around 6:30 pm until 6 am with a 6 ounce bottle and diaper change somewhere in the middle of that window (usually around 2). That's more sleep than 11-5, but I am not STTN.

    They are 6 months old.

I think my pediatrician defined it as being able to go 5-6 hours overnight. I defined it as when my kids started sleeping 10-12 hours at night.

I defined it when I no longer had to get up and feed a baby in the middle of the night.

Same as Nancy, our pedi said 6 straight hours. I was the same as the pp's, when I didn't have to get up for a long stretch to feed anyone (they started sleeping 6-6 with no bottles and diaper changes).

I agree with the PP. Nathaniel sleeps 11 hrs, has for about 2 months now, and William sleeps about 9-10hrs.

Wowza! I bow down to you! That's awesome!

Like pps, the ped said 5-6 hours, so, more specifically for me, it was not having to get up during the night (which meant I might stay up until about 10:30 or 11:00 to do a final feed and wake at 5, but I got a solid block of 6 or more hours of sleep...oh the bliss).

Yeah my ped says a 5-hour-strech is considered sleeping through the night. MY definition of STTN is significantly longer, like, by double that amount of time
