my one DD seems to think 20 minutes is all she needs for her naptime...she takes 3-20 minute naps a day...Is this enough time to get restful sleep? Talked to my pedi and he seems to think "cat naps" are fine during the day as long as they were getting enough sleep at night.....i just cant see how 20 minutes is enough time to recharge...........

If it works for her, then I think it's enough. For her at least, you may need a longer naptime ;)

If she isn't fussy and otherwise happy then she might only need catnaps. That sucks, eh?? How are you supposed to get anything done?! My girls take one long nap a day (1.5-2hrs) and then 3 catnaps of 30-45 minutes (sometimes less). I find those catnaps very frustrating because I just get started on something and they are awake again. And I have to find some way to entertain them until the next bottle. Argh.

Just curious - how many hours do they sleep at night?

They usually go to bed around 730 and wake around 6-630 so they get about 11 hours or so

That's a good solid block of sleep at night so the catnaps might be doing it for your daughter! If she was overtired she would probably have trouble sleeping at night too but that isn't the case. But you never know - these catnaps could change soon. It might just be a phase (or has she always been a catnapper)?

    What she said! :D

My mom said by 6 months I wasn't napping AT ALL! The pedi didn't believe her, but she swears I would sleep 11-12 hrs at night and that was it, no matter what she did I would not nap! Sucks to be her!
