    Hi! :wavey:
I'm not a true member of this group yet - my boys are not quite 1, but they will be in a month!

I'm posting here because I'm looking for suggestions on toys - specifically for outdoor use for 1+ year olds for this summer. They will be 14-18 mos this summer.

I've been looking at the cozy coupes, a sand/water table (or just sand/just water table), swings, picnic tables.... just wondering what you think might be a hit. Our babysitter also brings her 26 mo old daughter, so I'm also thinking about things that she would be interested in, and that my twins will grow into.

Any suggestions for anything I mentioned, or something else?

    TIA!

Last summer mine were 18 months and they LOVED their sand box and water table. We have 2 cozy coupes and the still like them, but they aren't a huge hit here. Mine love the little things like bubbles and those push lawn mowers, hoses, and a slide. We also got a playhouse (on craigslist) and it was a hit as well but they can be pricey.
I can't wait till we can play outside! This will be a very fun summer for you!

The items you mentioned have been mentioned by other people as huge hits for them. Another suggestion is a ball pit if you have the space, a baby pool (my kids still love to splash around), a wagon to pull them around in, sidewalk chalk, finger painting outside (if you have the space)...I keep mentioning space because we do not have a lot of area outside at our home, so we have to keep the outside toys small.
Another hit, I just remembered, bubbles!

Ours love the things previously mentioned, but the Step 2 Kangaroo Climber is the biggest hit. Climber

yep, the cozy coupes (we just got those at Christmas when they were 20 mo.), the little play houses for outdoors are a hit, ours love opening the windows and going through the door etc, ours was used and its perfect. if you don't have a big playset with a slide and swings, then I'd suggest a climber thing where they can slide down. otherwise, don't worry about the mini one... ours figured out the big stairs by 15+ months, and are very accomplished at climbing the ladder. good luck!

I second this! My guys got it this Christmas and we've put it in what used to be our dining room. This summer we'll move it outside. Cozy Coupes are very popular here, but you HAVE TO buy 2!!! My guys sometimes just climb into them with a book and "read". :) They make a nice private spot to relax for a bit even if they're not driving around in them.

We have a little tikes climber, similar to the Step2 one posted, I just bought it this weekend at our twins club consignment sale! Ditto sand boxes or sand/water tables, little swimming pool, ball pit, swingset.

Just going to agree with the Step 2 kangaroo climber - mine love this!! It's in our bonus room now, but plan to move it outside when it gets warmer.

All the aforementioned suggestions are fabulous...we got this as a birthday gift and our kiddos LOOOVE it! They use it as the rollercoaster, they love riding the car around in the backyard and they love climbing up and down it and chasing each other:) Just something different to think about:)!
