probably a TMI question...I havent had any issues with PTL, cntrxs, or shortening of the cervix etc... so my high risk OB said there are no restrictions at this time. Im still sorta worried about it though. Did you go ahead and was everything okay?

I will be 28 weeks tomorrow. We have not had sex since we found out we're pregnant. 1st trimester, i had terrible MS. 2nd trimester, besides working 8 hrs/day, i spent most of my time resting. Now, i even need more resting. I have no interest in sex. My husband has no problem without sex. Its just weird to have sex now, because my belly is huge, and my girl head is just right there. I am still working full time, so if I have energy I would save it to grow my babies. I heard many people have sex during pregnancies. Its ok. But its kindda weird to me.

My DH and I have tried but both times I had some light bleeding afterwards. The doc said that with some people it just happens because the tissues can be more irritable and not to worry about it since both times there were no problems with the babies or any cervical change or contrax. However, it's scared my DH into not wanting to have sex anymore and me too a little. So mostly we find *ahem* other ways to love on each other. It usually means him getting some satisfaction while I don't (if you catch my drift) but it's okay to me because I'm honestly not that interested in sex anymore. I just have no desire for it so I don't really need anything in return....except for the feet and back rubs! :D

Unfortunately, no sex for us since we found out we were having twins during the first trimester. Same thing happened during my 2nd pregnancy because of my PTL issues so we were expecting this from the get go. My husband and I talk about it all the time and then I joke to him that we still have to wait after the babies come no matter what type of delivery takes place. The dreams are so vivid about sex....lol

OMG I have to agree on this. This may be totally inappropriate and way TMI but has anybody else had an orgasm from sex dreams? I'd heard of it happening to some women but always scoffed and didn't believe it until this pregnancy!

yeah, its very common during pregnancy due to the increased blood flow down there. so weird - haha!

Yep, we had sex up until 37 weeks and I was induced at 38 weeks. I didn't have any complications and I asked at each appt. and kept getting the go ahead.

My poor DH...we stopped when I was about 5 months...no position was comfortable for me and I felt too big.

That's me for sure! Kinda crazy...as far as sex goes? Well, I'm only 15 weeks and have no restrictions, but nothing about it is comfortable at all. It's gone downhill that's for sure. Hubby understands though

At 34 weeks the doctor told me I should stop...I'd stopped way before that time b/c I was so uncomfortable and the big stomach was a huge turn off for DH.

yup, and yup. No problems at all. We had issues with my 3rd pregnancy though. I had a lot of bleeding...so pretty much were under restrictions until the very end of the pregnancy.

We did throughout the entire pregnancy and I think it may have contributed to my PTL. The doc said that orgasms cause cervical contractions and semen *can* react with the mucus plug to cause some shedding, so he asked us not to after 18 weeks. Well, we didn't listen and whaddya know? :(

BUT, if your doctor determines that you're not at risk I say go for it! Orgasms are AWESOME during pregnancy! And it made me feel so good to be sexy to my hubby when all I felt was fat.

i will be 14wks tomorrow, but now that my morning sickness isnt SOOOO constant we've been having sex a few times a week. my ob hasn't mentioned anything about not being able to. i LIKE sex during pregnancy (not so much after) and i will be upset if I have to stop

When I was prego with the twins, We had sex up until the day before I was induced. The first trimester, I was really sick, so it didn't happen much if at all. However, after that the mood changed for the better and I was loving it. Sex was the best thing about my twin pregnancy (besides growing my gorgeous twins) because I didn't want it at all with my first pregnancy. As long as your Drs say it's okay for you, you should be able to continue until the last trimester. Some drs do not like you having sex in the last tri with multiples, but some judge things on a case by case basis. You should do what you feel comfortable doing and what your drs say is safe for you. Enjoy your pregnancy.

We're 29w4d and we still do occasionally. I have also been having vivid sex dreams. While I have wonderful dream orgasms (don't know if they're real or imagined), I just can't get there awake.

    ECUBitzy is right, though... .
The first time it happened to me, I called the OBGYN in tears convinced I was triggering PTL. She said as long as I am not having contractions, we are OK to continue, but it did give me quite the scare.

Same here! Doesn't worry me too much usually as a good neck & shoulder massage is great too. We haven't had any probs so far but are just being cautious so as to hang in there as long as possible. I haven't had any *special* dreams since probably 24 weeks which is good because they were really really *special* sometimes and that worried me too lol!
