I wanted to hear this for so long

I just couldn't wait to hear one or both of my boys say 'mama' for so long, but now that they have mastered that word quite well, I think I want to change my name

 

I hear ya'! lol But, I can tell you that now that I sometimes get called "Mom", I get just a little bit sad that I'm not still Mama or Mommy.

your heart will melt again when you hear Mommy! I get those sometimes, and its so sweet!

 

LOL Dada was always the first word in this house... And I would LAUGH when all they asked for was 'Dada'.

DH would tell them, "my name's not Dada, I'm Steve/Bob/Ralph" or whatever his 'name of the day' was! LOL He gave up when they'd start calling him by his 'daily name'!

 

Yeah, 'dada' was their first word, and Daddy gets a very happy 'dada' when he gets home every day or when they are playing with Daddy. But all I ever get right now is a very whiny long 'mama, mama, mama.' I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one day soon I'll get a happy, cheer little 'mama' from one of them

I'm changing my name right along with you! I have 3 "mama's boys" that constantly want mama. Right now my 3 yr old is even worse than my twins. He is getting creative with his clingy-ness though. This morning his reason for wanting to go back upstairs with me to get his clothes was this - "I wuv you so much I want to be wif you all the time". How do you say no to that?
