My girls are honest to a fault. If I can't see them and I yell "what are you doing?" they will yell back the truth! So I get responses like "I'm trouble making!" or "I'm making a mess!" Just now DH asked them "who ripped up this book?" and they both admitted fault, so they're both in time out.

I hope they stay this honest into the teenage years!

 I thought maybe since we don't spank and they aren't frightened about the consequences that maybe it would last...Guess I can keep dreaming.

    :rotflmbo: That's awesome!

Mine went through a super honest phase too. At the time, one of their favorite naughty things to do was take sips of water and then spit them out (onto the table, into the pocket of their bibs, etc). We'd take the water away. They'd beg to get it back. "Are you going to drink it or spit it out?" we'd ask. "Spit it out!" they'd always answer.

That cracks me up when they do that!!

One of mine has started experimenting with the "I not do anything mommy". <_< But on the other hand, they do have many more times they are brutally honest.

Too funny! Yeah, mine are all about trying to get out of trouble and will lie if need be. But, there are some things they are very honest about. For instance, last week Abigail was sitting next to me on the couch and said "Mommy, you have a big butt". Thanks Abby, you pick now to be honest. lol

 Mine have not hit the honest phase yet. If I ask them what they did, my DD puts up her hands and says, "Oh no, what happened?"

My two have just started blaming each other!! They also admit fault for things their brothers do  and if falsely accused oh it is the end of the world!

My nephew is nearly 4 and he is still as honest as it gets! If anything happens, just ask Connor because he will tell you..even if he is at fault.

I agree with Liz. Mine started fibbing around 3. It didn't take them long to figure out what would and wouldn't result in punishment. Mattie is also bad to blame stuff on Lauren and lie about it, right to my face. :girl_devil: She is definitely going to be the death of me in another 13 years.

We're in to the blame game here- its always their sister who did it, never themselves. I also get a lot of the "not me!" from both of them- I guess we have the little ghost "not me" living with us ;)
