Hello. Our boys (4 yrs old) are having a Mother Goose program at their preschool. They sent home a few suggestions for dress up, but I'm wondering if anyone here might have some suggestions and specifics as to what you've done in the past.

    TIA

These are the one's I thought of. Universally, I would think that knickers and a cap would go a long way in most of these outfits.
    - Little Boy Blue would be easy. Dress in all blue and carry a fake bugle horn.
    - Jack Be Nimble could carry a candle stick.
    - Jack Horner would carry a fake pie.
    - Jack could carry a pail and wear a crown (I know the rhyme really refers to the crown of the head, but it would be a cute play on words.)
    - Tom, Tom the Piper's son could carry a recorder (you can buy them for less than a buck at Walmart) and a stuffed pig.
    - Humpty Dumpty. Not as easy. But, if you have the time and ambition...a paper mache cracked egg. Then maybe the other boy could be a King's man
    - A cat with a fiddle. Cat ears and tale and painted on whiskers with a cardboard cutout of a fiddle.
    - Cardboard cutouts of a dish and a spoon.
    - Invite one of their friends to join them in being the Butcher, the Baker, and the Candlestick maker.

Wow! Those are great ideas! I'm so not creative! I never think of making cardboard cutouts for props.
    Thanks so much!

That reminds me my oldest son did the cat and the fiddle one when he was 4. So cute..and we actually dug and old real kids violin out of the attic that was my husband's when he was a little boy. So much fun!
