Today my little babies were born, despite the doctors' and nurses' disbelief that I was even in labor. :p At 5:15 Grace Mary Wright was born, weighing in at 2 lbs 10½ oz, and 15" long. Zoe Crysta Wright was born at 5:16 weighing 2 lbs 12 oz, and 16" long. They learned to breathe on their own pretty quick, and still are doing well. (Just on CPAP.) They made it to 29 weeks 1 day gestation, after 11 days of hospital bedrest and a week after the membranes ruptured. :)

    See you around!

Congratulations to you! And welcome to little Zoe and Grace!! :D You delivered at almost the exact same gestation as my boys. They were also little tinies but the NICU nurses were miracle workers and got them good and healthy. Now our boys are 18 and 17.5 lbs with chubby thighs and cheeks. So hang in there momma and know that the NICU can be tough but so are you, and your precious babies will leave there tough girrrls too ;)

My girls were early too and about the same size. I hope your girls have a smooth and uneventful NICU stay.

Thanks for the welcome! I know it's not ideal for them to be born early, but I'm actually relieved. What with the TTTS and all during pregnancy, I was constantly worrying if they were okay in there. Now at least I can check on them. Their first two days have been trouble free, they have even had milk already, and at least Grace actually digested some of it. :)
