What is this song my kids sing?

They both keep singing a song and this is what they say: 1-2-3 in the ground! 4-5-6 in the ground! <repeat a million times>

Has anyone else heard this song? Is it on a tv show? When I hear it I think of dead bodies in the ground and it creeps me out. I wonder where they learned it.

 

Never heard that one! But sometimes my girls combine songs... "twinkle little star... Jesus love me.... all through the town!" lol... Maybe they are doing that? Do they go to daycare and maybe learned something there?

 

Nope. They go to a playroom at the fitness center. Maybe they picked it up there.

 

No idea. lol Mine love to sing the clean up song from school, but won't do the clean up part while they sing it at home. Go figure.

 

I wonder if one of the other kids in the playroom sings it and they caught on? My girls have picked up things and here and it shocks me how quickly they remember things.

 

Mine combine songs too. They keep asking me to sing "twinkle little hush baby." They've asked me to sing the "Santa Song" and since I have no idea what they are talking about I've been singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

 

A spin off of teddy bear teddy bear touch the ground?

 

It doesn't use that phrase, but The Ants Go Marching is a counting song and says "in the ground." I can't think of any other songs that would have that phrase -- and as a music teacher I know A LOT of songs.
