i currently use the graco duoglider stroller with the car seat combo pair. now that the boys' are so big (28"long) they don't and can' really sit comfortably in their car seats in the stroller and putting the boys' in the actual seats of the stroller is a real pain in the butt i've discovered not to mention the front seat has very little height for supporting the head.

i want to get a nice SBS now, DH can get a BOB stroller at cost (around 300-400) so i'm wondering if you have a BOB what model and what do you like about it?

if you've got a different SBS...

    what brand/model?

what do you like about it?

would it fit in the trunk of a ford taurus?

is it easy to get the kids in and out quickly?

does it fit through slim doors/elevators?

    thanks!

I registered for the Duoglider when I was pg and used it for the first 7 months and really hated it. If I had to do it over, I would of purchased the snap-n-go.

At 8 months I bought the Combi TwinSport from Amazon for around $180. It's a good stroller, easy to fold and would fit in your car. I have never had a door I could not get through. The one downside is the storage baskets are pretty small and I hardly ever use them. There are also no cup holders. Now that they are 2, the issue I have now is it's getting more difficult to push them. When I go grocery shopping, I push the sbs and pull the shopping cart. Combined they weigh about 60lbs.

I also have the Baby Trend Jogging Stroller from BRU. I paid about $170. It's very easy to push, has great storage and 2 cups holders on the handle. I have no issues getting them in the stroller since there is not a safety bar. They are now old enough to get into the stroller themselves. I'm pretty sure it would fit in your trunk.

It fits through most doorways but not all. I was at Burlington Coat Factory and could not get them through their front door. Never had an issue with elevators but it does make other people mad because our's is the only stroller that will fit and they have to wait for the next one.

If I know I'm going somewhere where I might have a problem, I take the Combi; otherwise the Baby Trend in my main stroller. The duoglider is in my garage and never gets used.

I have the BOB Duallie with the larger wheels..I think the 12"? Anyway, this stroller is primo, comfortable for them, you could push it with your pinky - the front wheel can swivel or be locked, full suspension system, the whole works. That being said...IMO this is not meant to be a mall stroller. It is great at the grocery store - can push it with ease one-handed and pull the shopping cart but any other small clothing stores, etc will give you headaches. Surprisingly, I have fit it through most doors but I know there are doors out there it won't fit. It is large, folds up pretty good considering and weighs I believe around 18 lbs or so. But I doubt it would fit in the trunk of many cars...in my SUV it takes up most of the back. I walk the park 4-5 times a week and live by a zoo, coffee shops, and botanic gardens. In other words, we walk outside a lot. If you don't anticipate using it for this, definitely head another direction IMO. I don't think it is a "quick trip" stroller.

(I do love it for outdoor markets, etc too!)

We recently bought a second hand combi twin side by side stroller for $50. Gotta love craigslist:) We have a Kia Rio and it fit in the trunk when be brought it home, less than 20lbs and folds up nice. As a PP mentioned it has small storage under the seats. Ours came with a fabric insulated cupholder that velcroed around the handle. This also has a pouch for keys. Not sure where the old owner got it, but there must be extra accessories you can get. It is narrower than most so fits well through doorways. I am using a snap and go now and love it, but I think the side by side will be better when they are older.

We had the snap n go until they were 6 months. We then got the Baby Trend Double Jogger. Love, love, love it. Handles like a dream, great storage. Only hitch is that we drive a Honda Civic, and while we can fit the stroller, and tons of groceries in the car with it, I have a little trouble getting it into and out of the trunk alone. There are some doors it doesn't fit through, including our front door. Got it at BRU for about $160.

Last weekend, as I've decided to be adventurous and start taking the LOs out alone, we purchased a Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport. It's a side by side umbrella. Not much storage, but we can hang the diaper bag on it, and most importantly it's not heavy and I can get it in and out of the car myself. Got it at BRU for $58 with some discounts, and gift cards. That being said, I haven't taken it out of the box yet, so I can't talk it up too much yet.

So we have the Baby Trend Double Jogger for when DH is home, and for walks (we just go out the garage), and the Jeep SBS for me to use when I'm alone, and to travel, as I think my heart would break if something happened to the jogger.

    Good luck!

    what brand/model?

    Combi Twin
what do you like about it?
LOVE that it's small, easy to manuever in and out of my Yukon XL, as well as in and around stores, works great for normal walks, but it's not an offroad stroller, the wheels suck at the beach.

would it fit in the trunk of a ford taurus?
Absolutely, it fit into the trunk of my sisters car and it's about the same size as a taurus.

is it easy to get the kids in and out quickly?
Yep, it has a 5 point harness if you want but the only time I use the shoulder straps is when I don't have the cupholders on, and that was just when we flew 3 wks ago. They wanted out of the strollers and were leaning WAY forward, the straps on kept them in place.

does it fit through slim doors/elevators?
Yep, the only door I haven't fit through was the doorway in my dentists office, and it's in a really old building that is NOT wheelchair accessible. They said next time to bring them in the back door, as it IS wheelchair accessible!

Pro's: Smallish, lightweight, long handle (not the umbrella style handles) which makes 1 handed pushing a breeze, fits anywhere
Con's: Small underneath baskets ~ I just took them right off and hang my diaper bag on the handle. No adult cupholders ~ bought a cupholder kit from babiesrus for $20. Smallish sunshades ~ bought a sunshade extender from babiesrus as well.

I also have the baby trend jogging stroller and love it! I just purchased the jeep SBS for traveling and quick trips. I wouldnt purchase a jogger if you don't plan on ever jogging with it to be honest. I tested out the combi sbs and would have gotten that as our one and only stroller, but I jog so I needed a jogger to train for my races. Joggers are heavy as heck and I don't think mine would fit in the trunk of a car very easily!
