Does anyone have one of these? We were going to take the pack n plays with us, but we only use them for sleeping in when we travel. I found these online and they would take up soooo much less room (airplane & trunk space wise when we are driving). I see on every website they have 4 1/2 stars, but I'm nervous with them being an air matress and all. And also, they'd be using these to sleep in for 2 weeks, and they get restless in the pack and plays after only 2 days lol. So I'm kind of hoping these would be more comfortable for them... So if anyone has any info about these I'd really appreciate it!

I don't have any experience, but I've looked at these so many times and wavered between getting them and not. Hopefully someone will chime in.

We bought them for our Christmas trip for those exact reasons. We LOVE them, and now a bunch of friends are borrowing ours for their upcoming trips :)

They are super easy to fold and unfold. I didn't like the sleeping bag it comes with, so we actually put the mattresses in the inside of the tent vs. the pocket underneath, and just used a regular crib sheet.

About a week before we left, I opened them up in the playroom and let the boys just play. They just barely fit in our cribs, so then we spent a few days letting them take naps in the Pea Pod in the crib, starting with all the sides open, and slowly closing them in over a couple days.

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Thank you very much! Now I just gotta talk DH into it! lol ;) I do have a question.. do regular crib sheets fit on it snuggly, or are they loose? Also, my girls are very active when they first get in there cribs to lay down- would they be able to push it over or is there weight on the bottom to prevent that? Thanks again!

It's a well made produce and you won't be able to push it over or anything. My son never ended up using it much, but he was older when we bought it and probably wouldn't have slept in a pnp either. He plays in it from time to time now :) A crib sheet would probably not fit on it as it is oval shaped.

Thank you very much! We just ordered them, and I am very hopeful that this is a good investment. I'm sure it will be, its so much cheaper even then paying for extra luggage on the plane or renting 2 cribs. Thank you both for you information! :)

I bought these for a trip this summer and loved them - small enough to pack in a suitcase and so much lighter than two PNPs! I've continued to use them for naps when we visit friends.

I put the sleeping bag on top of the air mattress and then covered both with a crib sheet - I figure this makes the air mattress a bit more comfy. The crib sheet doesn't fit as tight as it would on a crib mattress, but it wasn't falling off either.

I never heard of these before but now I'm tempted to buy a couple as well. They look so convenient and they get great reviews, here and at Amazon. I figure they will be good for whenever we start letting the boys spend the night at my parent's house when they are a little older. Also we are going to the beach with DH's family this August and while the rental company is supposed to make sure there are 2 full sized cribs in the condo, I worry that may fall through, plus it would be nice to take one to the beach and let them sit in there for a bit out of the sun (though I have ready that air doesn't circulate all that great in them). Anyway, thanks for posting this question! I learn about so many good products and ideas here :)

We've got them and they work well. The two biggest downsides IMO are: The boys can get out of them (unless we tie the zippers together) and you can't put unmovable sheets or bedding down. We tried putting a crib sheet over the sleeping bag once but it didn't work at all. So now we just lay a blanket in there, knowing it'll get scrunched around as soon as the kids move.

Otherwise, they're much easier to haul around than PNPs!!

Silly question....are the zippers fairly quiet or pretty loud sounding? :) We always rock our boys to sleep and then put them in bed, and I'm wondering if the zippers would be so loud that it would wake them up after we put them in there?

Thank you everyone! I found some oval crib sheets, so maybe they will fit? Worth a shot, lol. :)

ETA: For all the moms out of the first year, the PeaPod PLUS is good for up to 5 years old (as opposed to the PeaPod, which is said to be only good to 1 year).

unfortunately, they are pretty loud - what i used to do is get the girls good & sleepy, lay them down, zip it shut about 80% of the way, the girls would usually startle but i'd leave my hand on their tummy through the space i left until they quieted again & then i would just leave the zipper partially open. it worked well when they were young but it wouldn't work now - they'd just pull the zipper open! of course, they're also much better at falling asleep on their own now.

this is probably pretty obvious but just in case, i did want to say for anyone who's planning on using their pea pods long term to make sure to set them up on the floor. when the girls were young we would often put their pea pods on a bed. now that they're older though they can roll the pea pods over pretty well - they stand up & lean against the sides. it's safe enough if they're on the floor but if you have them on anything it could be really dangerous.
