KOLCRAFT ROCKS!

Just got two brand new mattresses in the mail from Kolcraft today!! Called them to ask if they had any mattresses to donate and they told me to write a letter and they would call me. 5 days later i got the call and they were shipped with me paying a small fee for the shipping portion. I highly recommend calling them to see if they have anything available to donate!!

Woo Hoo! What a GREAT company!!! I will seriously buy anything kolcraft if I have that option now knowing how generous they are!

 

Can I ask what you had to write in the letter?

When this thread went through a while back I contacted them via e-mail to see if I could get a side-by-side stroller. I got a response stating that they didn't have any. I later told my husband about it and he thought I shouldn't have done it since "technically" we can afford to buy one. But we all know that twins are expensive and any help that we can get is worth a try!!! So at that point I just sort of let it go.

A week or so later a woman from our church had twin girls and this woman is really in need. We've donated as much to her as we can including an extra crib that we weren't using. So I immediately thought of Kolkraft as the only thing we couldn't find for her was a mattress. We were willing to pay the shipping cost for her because we know how much she really needs the help. So I contacted them again, this time I used my mom's name and they told me they didn't have anything and just left it at that.

Am I doing something wrong? What did you have to say to get the mattress? Are they offering this stuff to everyone or just special cases?

I had the same experience as you, i emailed a while back when the other thread was going around and got a reply saying they didn't do donations anymore

 

I'm not the OP for this thread, however I was the one that had the other thread that went around a few weeks ago in regards to a free stoller.

All I did was e-mail them at [email protected] and asked if they had any possible donations of double strollers, if so that it'd be greatly appreciated. Once we did a few e-mails back and forth, I called her at their phone number (800.453.7673) and asked to talk with Delilah at extension 411. Over the phone I gave her my credit card information and they shipped out the Jeep Traveler Tandem Stroller to me. I paid $85 in shipping here to Hawaii, but the stroller itself is normally $225, so I found it to be a good deal.

My niece was also able to contact her and they donated her a jeep single stroller (she's about to have a singleton in April) for the cost of $15 shipping to Texas.

I don't quite understand why they would say they don't do donations anymore (to the people they said that to). They did explain to me when I called that they'd have to see what they had in stock, but could always get back to me when it came in stock.

Maybe you are reaching people that just don't care or are too lazy, but they could just not have anything at the moment to donate.

email them inquiring about their donations program and say that you were told to speak with Nedda or Delilah. They only offer what they have available in their warehouse at the time so it may not be exactly what you're looking for. HTH!
