my LO's take a nap 2 hours after waking and i am really working on getting them to nap 3 hours after that.
they did it today (YAY) and are currently napping. i need to get them to nap 2 hours in order to wake up at 4 and go back to bed at 8.

do your LO's take naps this long? i was able to keep them up (they like to take a cat nap around noon) and stimulated their butts! 2 naps is where most of your 8 mo are?

I watch my niece everyday and she is 10 months and still takes 3 naps a day.

My boys started to 2-3-4 naps schedule at 6 months. They take 1.5-2 hours each nap and are in bed by 8pm. It has made it very nice to be able to run errands with the boys on the 4 hour block of time. Plus, it keeps them awake.

I have also been told that because my boys are 23+ pounds at 9 months, that it another reason that they do not need as much sleep.

You can do it, just go for a walk or run an errand and they will stay awake!

Mine do a 3,3,3 schedule cause they can't make it to 7pm these days. They do sleep 1.5-2hrs though. I think I stopped the cat nap around 7 months, unless we are driving somewhere.

Mine did a 2-3-4 schedule at 6 months. At 8 months they were taking two naps a day, the first one 9:30-11 (2 hours after waking), the second one at 2-4( almost three hours after the first nap) and then bedtime at 7:30( almost 4 hours later).

I think mine were still doing 3 naps a day at that age. I would only let them take a catnap for the 3rd one. They needed it to make it til bedtime.
