Does anyone use a bath seat?

We are using an inflatable tub right now, but they are getting a little too big for both to fit in at the same time. I was wondering if anyone had any luck with bath seats and what kind they were. They sit up very well unassisted, but they are in a constant wrestling match and love to knock each other over so I think it will be a long while before they will be able to just bath in the tub without any source of containment.

 

I tried a bath seat but it was terrible. I had the kind that attatched to the ledge of the tub. I found that they are to big and the boys slid around in them too much. I tried it three times and then put it away. My boys love to fight in the tub but I can usually keep them on their own sides with toys etc. I wouldn't waste your money.

 

We used bath seats and they were wonderful for us. We probably used them longer than anyone ever has! I think they were in them until about 1 year 10 months!

We used bath seats with our first child and now with the twins. We love them! We don't have the ones that attach to the side of the tub. Ours simply have the suction cups on the bottom.

 

I never had much luck with bath seats with any of my kids. I just suffered through & counted the days until they could sit up well! Sorry, I know that's not really a lot of help. :hug:

We went from a small tub to the big one (our master bath). I just put a little bit of water in the tub and they did okay. Having lots of toys to play with kept them from going after each other.

 

I used over the side of the tub bath seat with my first and bought another one just like it so I can use them with the twins when it's time.

It worked great with my first so keeping my fingers crossed this time around.

I have been using the over the side bath seat. My DH likes it better than I do. It was a big help while the kids were learning to sit alone. Now he likes to use it to keep them from moving all over the place

 

We have both bath seats, the one that has suction cups at the bottom and the one that attaches to the side of the tub. seamusnicholas seems to have the same thing. I really like them. We received ours from friends so I didn't have to buy anything which really helps! I only get to bath them once a week because I don't feel confident enough to do it on my own and just too hard to anyway.

 

My 19 month old is STILL in hers too...she's a bit of a nervous nellie and freaks out when she has to sit in the tub without it. Maybe when she's 20 we'll see if she'll give it up or be taking it with her when she moves out but for now it works bwahahaha!

This is the one that we have too and we will probably buy another for the twins when they're big enough. It's not bad but I wish someone could come up with something better.

 

Because I am usually home alone in the evenings I still use the bath seats so I can get both boys bathed at the same time. Only just in the past week has Rhys tried to crawl out of his - but is usually distracted with toys - I love these seats - got them from a twin garage sale for $5.
