My fabulous little daughter Lexia has discovered sleep!!!!! She is consisitantly sleeping 8 hrs at night and I am thrilled. Unfortunately her sister Quinn has regressed from going 5 hrs to now 4 hrs between feeds. Beyond frustrating. Also she has a bad habit of waking at 5am no matter what time she is supposed to eat.

They both go to bed at 8:30 and are eating 5oz. When my Quinn wakes around 4am for her feed I have been waking Lexia as well.
Should I just let her sleep??? She is starved when I feed her. But am I curbing what could be a wonderful full nights sleep????? An since she is missing a feed, should she be getting more to eat at the next feed?? I wasn't sure what to do.

Now what am I doing wrong with Quinn???? She weighs 1 lb less than her sister but eats the same so I didn't want to load her up before bed. Often she is really tired and takes forever to finish the 5 oz. Why is she not lasting as long anymore?? Last night she was awake 4 hrs on the dot, I listened to her play and squawk a bit before going in, she was wide awake and then fell asleep during the feed. The minute she hits the matress she is awake again and flails around. I finally gave her a soother (trying not to do this at night) and she settled down. But woke up after 3 hrs this morning. Not hungry, just doesn't want to sleep anymore. Then she'll get her morning bottle and have the longest morning nap!!! Urg!!!!

Thank goodness they are both in a good mood letting mommy type this and drink her coffee :yahoo:

I have the same senario...Gavin sleeps solid and long. Jocelyn does not. She sleeps very "disturbed" and restless. I don't know if we can "fix" it. I think every baby is different with different sleep needs. I'm trying to learn how work with this fact now hoping that as they get older, they will catch up with each other more.

    I know it's frustrating!!!!

At 8 months...maybe it's some sort of growth spurt??

    Sorry couldn't help much :(

    Good luck!

I can't help you either but we are in the same boat. Matthew he does great at night, Brandon he usually wakes up every 3 hrs :headbang: And he wakes up in between feedings for his paci, I just blame his reflux on it, got to blame someone or something right. I guess right now I will have mother nature take its course, but my boys are 4 months but if they were 8 I thinkI would try CIO, I don't know. Sorry I can't be much help here.

Sorry guys, I think my ticker is confusing, it says "8 months until 1st b-day" My girls are only 3 1/2 months :) So not wanting to try CIO at this stage.

I do think my non sleeper sufffers from some reflux. She is definately a restless sleeper (tummy gas)and spits up a lot. We are contimplating trying out the gentlease formula. I am on a wait list to see my pedi so didn't want to switch until I talked to him, but am thinking of just going ahead anyways to see if it gives her less tummy issues.

I am in the same situation with the boys. I figured one may need a little more time.
My boys are going to bed at 6.30. I force feed them at 10. One sleeps until 7-ish in the morning the other one wakes between 2-3 no matter what. So I let the one sleep the night through and feed the other one. They are on a 4 hour schedule during the day, so it does not interfere with that.
