My kids are two so it has been a while but I often think back to the pregnancy and how difficult it was for SO MANY reasons.
Even two years later I am still appreciating the little things that go with NOT being pregnant.
Here is my list, what's yours?

    1. My shoes FIT!! (I'm an 8 and by the end of the pregnancy I was squeezing into an 11)
    2. My rings FIT!!
    3. I can stand up for more than 5 minutes and not feel like I can't stand even one more second.
    4. I am not completely exausted after a shower.
    5. I can walk from point A to point B without feeling like a baby is going to fall out of me.
    6. I can get in and out of a car without thinking about it.
    7. I can FALL ASLEEP!!
    8. I don't have to think "What have I eaten today, have I eaten enough, have I had protein and vitimins.
    9. Red Wine!
    10. No more gestational diabietes, no more shots in my stomach and testing my blood sugar.
    11. My body is my own.
    12. I finally know my two beautiful wonderful healthy daughters and don't have to wonder any more, "what do you look like, who are you"

I can put my underwear on without holding on to something or sitting down.

I can lean over and shave my left leg with my right hand.

    I can diet!

I can eat sushi and blue cheese. (This one killed me, LOL.)

Alas, my feet are *still* one size larger than pre-pregnancy. I don't think they're going back, at this point. [IMG]

The only thing I don't miss is using the bathroom all the time.

    Everything!! :D

Not being sick ALL the time
I can tie my own shoes..although having someone else tie my shoes wasn't all that bad
I can clip my own toenails
I can drink milk and not get sick
I can eat ice cream and not get sick
    I can drink caffine
    I can drink alcohol
The list goes on, and on, and on.

I think the only thing(s) I don't miss is going to the bathroom all the time, the swollen feet and legs, and sciatica.

Having to step out of bed (onto a step stool) at night to be able to turn over!

I actually hated being pregnant with a passion...everything about it. The only redeeming thing about being pregnant was knowing that my children were growing well and that they'd be here soon :) This is why I refuse to have any more kids unless we adopt; I can't stand being pregnant.

No more back aches! My back KILLED me the last month.

No more morning sickness, all day sickness, anything I smelled sickness! :bad: I can actually walk into a restaruant without running to the bathroom to puke!!

    Chardonnay!!

    I hated being pregnant! I don't miss:

-morning all day sickness all the time
    -constant back and hip pain
    -pee, pee, pee, pee, pee
-the only hemorrhoids I've ever had in my life (and I SWORE I wouldn't get them because dammit, I am too cool to get hemorrhoids! )
    -itchy skin
-not liking the taste of coffee (the morning after I delivered, even icky hospital coffee tasted wonderful again)
-preggo brain (holy cow, I actually thought The Historian was well written when I was pg! )
    -terrifying high risk stuff
-not being able to roll over in bed
-getting winded just putting my socks on
-quickly outgrowing maternity shirts meant for singleton pregnancies
    -ibuprofen on the verboten list
    -heartburn
    -not being able to breathe

The only thing I liked was feeling the babies move. I loved that. So awesome.

I don't miss the Evil Crotch Pain or the general "going to explode" feeling.

Me too!! I so did not like being pregnant. It's just not for me. I love my babies to pieces and while I think I'd like another baby sometime, I DO NOT want another pregnancy. :(

+1 to all that, and the comments people make. My favorites:

    - You're so big! You'll never lose all that weight.
    - You walk like an elephant (I cried after that one)
    - And the sound of laughter at how funny I walked on my way to the bathroom, even though I consistently told people how much pain I was in. You don't laugh at an arthritic, you don't laugh at a pregnant woman!!!

Honestly, I look back at those and get tears in my eyes. People thought they were so funny yet their comments were so hurtful.

Oh, there are so many things, but these are the biggest for me:

    1. I can walk without pain, and without wondering if I'll make it to the next chair. (This is by far the biggest thing for me -- towards the end of pregnancy I used to have these glorious dreams about being able to walk freely.)

    2. I don't have to panic when I get hungry and wonder if I'll faint before I get something to eat. (I never actually did faint, but I often felt like I might.)

    3. When I get a migraine, I can take medication for it.

    4. I am so self-conscious and it was worse when I was pg. I didn't care what strangers thought, but every time I walked through my office, I could hear heads swiveling and I just wanted to disappear. My officemate laughed at the way I came down the stairs once (just like PP said) and I nearly bit her head off. In fact it still makes me mad to think about it.

OH and no more reflux! yikes that was bad!

Being able to sleep flat on my back! That's how I prefer to sleep and with a big preggo belly it's just not possible.
Getting up to use the bathroom 5 times per night.
    And feeling like I'm huge.
    No more evil hunger.
    Alcohol and tuna!

I liked being pregnant though. Or maybe I'm just remembering it that way since I'd like to get pregnant again.

There is just nothing I miss about being pregnant!! I really did hate every second of it : )

    I don't miss
All day sickness that lasted for 8.5months!!
My poor sides would get numb from sleeping on them so much
The last 2months all I could do was walk to the couch and back the bed (oh yeah and to the bathroom).
Feeling sick if I didn't eat every hour.
people saying "get all the sleep you can now, because when the babies come you will never sleep again" - did they really think this was helpful or nice advice??

I love my babies so much and am so glad they are here and healthy, but I have NO desire to be pregnant again!

Right after delivery I would have said that I hated the evil crotch pain and was glad it was gone. Now days I even miss that - I love being pregnant and feel like a crazy lady because of it  .

Wow, honestly, I guess the only thing is I'm glad I can take my migraine meds while not pregnant. I know being pregnant with twins sure was hard in a LOT of ways and I wouldn't exactly want to be pregnant with twins again, I really do miss it and hope to be able to get pregnant again soon! I just loved having them inside, especially the last half when I could feel them, and watch them toss around in there! Plus they were so easy to take care of then!!! :D

    I don't miss:

PUPPPS!!!!!!!! (Horrible uncontrolled itching. But wait, you can't itch anything because you can't reach it!)
Peeing so often I started getting lax about flushing (shame) & wanting to install reading material art in the bathroom.
Feeling S kick me in the cervix while O wedged himself so far in my ribs they used the vaccuum to dislodge him.
Using the Amigo carts in stores/having old ladies pick stuff up for me when I dropped it.
Wanting Subway SO BAD for weeks. Not getting it as it would involve getting out of the car-it wasn't a drive thru.

Ugh... that was my situation, too.

I echo the sentaments of others... I NEVER want to be pregnant again. It's a HUGE blessing, I admit, but now that I've done it twice, I'm so glad to be done. The only thing I miss is being able to eat as much as I want.

    I'm so glad now to:
Sleep however I want... heck, just to sleep is good, too
Being able to walk more than 10 feet and stand up for more than 10 minutes at a time
Pick up and play rough with my older kids
Eat sushi and med. rare meat
NOT HAVE PAIN ALL THE TIME
Not have the "the baby is poking thru my belly like in the movie Alien" dream because baby is kicking me so hard at night.
